The Nifty Promo Control Panel replacement for Nifty Slideshows is so different, it deserves a new topic thread, and this is it. Here's where your questions get answered and I announce new stuff about it.

Note that even though it's free, your referral id is used throughout - and you can see it is at every step.

It's had a complete redesign and rewrite. It's sparkly clean and much, much simpler to use, aimed at the beginner and seasoned Zazzler alike.
What do you think?

You can see a promo session is divided into two:
1) decide on products to work with
2) choose the type of promoting

Oodles of contextual help is always just a click away. Here's an example.

Every time you make changes to your choices, you click the View Matching Products button and it updates the displayed products in line.

Promotion Tools
So far, these are the promo tools available

Each of these work on the products you set up in step 1.

Here's me using the Product Grid promo tool

...and this is what the resulting product grid sharer page looks like.

Sharing
You can see the sharing buttons on the left hand side of that page. Here's me after clicking the facebook share button

The product image it uses is chosen at random - if you'd prefer a different one, roll the dice again by refereshing the product grid page.

Here's me using the Individual Products promoting tool in a streamlined twitter session:

I'll let you check out the slideshow promoting tool for yourself Smile

Ok, that's a quick rundown. More promoting options will be added as time goes on. I'm happy to listen to any suggestions or feature requests you may have so I can take them into account (bearing in mind I find coding real hard).

Happy Zazzling!

Hi Mark
I've just started using this today moving from SeeMyBest. I'm using it to build a product grid, I can get it to display the grid within my browser but where is the code for copying into my web site - I want to use it with my wordpress installation. SMB V7 worked well for this requirement.

At the moment it's just the sharing. Creating the code like you suggest is on the cards.

Be prepared for URockDezine to jump on you regarding Wordpress!

Cool A Mundo! you're a wizkid! (as "Off to See the Wizard" plays in my head...) I, like Paul, would love to see an embeddable HTML code so that I can post a grid on my website. Also if you could make it in different sizes like the associate banners are? That would be awesome! The ideal size for my Weebly side panel is 120x600. But I could also use larger sizes to build a new site with some of their amazing new responsive web templates like the gallery style (name escapes me). I hope I am not asking for too much... I know that if you can't do it yet you will try to find a way or you could always tell me "can't be done"... I promise not to cry!

Mark - I was trying to PRINT out hardcopy for a meeting tonight and find that your PRODUCT GRID prints out 1 item per page.

I would love to be able to print it out as it appears on the screen, with 3-4 items per row and several rows per page. Perhaps this goes along with the webCODE ??

I would never have thought to try that! All add that feedbackinto the mix. Thanks BKMuir

PS I guess a screenshot will have to do in the meantime!

I've added the HTML code generation tool now. You can see what happens when you paste into a blogger blog here:
http://razamazazzle.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/new-nifty-promo-tool-test-of-new.html

Now that Zazzle support https, I've made all the links, all the hrefs use https: instead of the old http:
(the 's' stands for secure transmission across the web)
I know more and more sites are supporting, and some even insisting, on https: being used now.

I made the decision to put all the styles inline rather than as a separate stylesheet because that should maximise the number of places it coan be used just by pasting the html.

Anyway, feedback welcomed.

Later, I may add options for changing some of the colours. Oh, one last thing, the HTML is mobile friendly, using responsive design. One thing that means is that it will occupy as much width as you / your blog gives it. It does resize things sensibly as the width increases.

Hokay, midnight oil burned. I hope peeps find this useful!

Looking good Mark, this is just a test post on Wordpress
http://ipgphotography.uk/Blog/kc135-test-post/
I'll leave it there for a couple of days but it will get removed.
Sorry to keep pestering you for more, but once you have created a range of products would it be possible to select certain product to save (possibly from more than one page) before building the html code (as you could in SMB)
Paul

Edit: For comparison a post created withn SeeMyBest is here

You really knocked yourself out! Thank you! I am on my phone but as soon as I get back to my puter I will take it for a test drive on Weebly and let you know how it works there also I plan to use it on my blogger!

In the last few minutes I've finished tweaking the html styles for the code generation options. I've also given an option for trimming how much of a product's description is included in a grid cell.

Looking forward to hearing the Weebly outcome!

@PaulGulliver: Perhaps. But it's such a lot of effort it won't be anytime soon. You should find the styling tweaks make things look better for you.
Thanks for including the test post, that helped me with the tweaking Smile

Ok Mark, I've just posted another test page with the characters limited to 40, certainly makes it more compact.

Thanks for the work you're putting into this, really helpful for promoting our wares

@PaulG: I'm being stoopid!

Idea You don't need the SMB way of selecting just those you want to display in your product grid. Simply create a collection especially for the task and pull from that instead of your store.

I've just tested the Product Grid code generator on Wix - glad I made everything https as Wix is one of those that insists on it.

Here's an example Wix site I use for testing:

Ok Mark, I posted it as a side panel and the products line up single file and look good! The only problem is the page description did not post. I worked around that by adding a text widget with the description just above. Here is a link so you can see it, keep in mind the Red bold text above is the text widget I added. But even with that minor hiccup, I like it!

That loooks so cool in the sidebar, Shellibean Smile
The lack of a title for your product grid is intended behaviour. I felt that styling of a title would be more trouble to peeps than it's worth. You have the best solution - title it yourself when you place it.

Note that the title you've seen is actually for sharing a product grid page, not for the code generation.

Loving what I'm seeing, so thanks Smile

Oh good, I'm glad that is not a glitch then! Thank you for making it work as a side bar! I like them for this website because they act like a pinned post that is alway at the top. I have embedded flash panels but they only fit in the main body posts and only stay visible for a short time. As far as I know Weebly still doesn't offer a pin to top option, but I found out today that they added scheduled posts to the free package! but I stray off topic again... anyway I love this nifty grid display and will be using it regularly!

don't know how you do it but glad you do!Roses

@Shellibean - a word to the wise, flashpanels or not a good thing. They need flash and a high percentage of peeps don't allow flash due to security concerns. Also, flash doesn't run on standard mobiles so you're missing a lot of potential eyeballs.

@BKMuir - I'm gald you're feeling encouraged! I just did another test post on my Blogger blog. It's looking sweet: http://razamazazzle.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/popular-business-card-templates-easy-to.html

A bit extreme on the number of products included but I needed to give it a good workout.
