Error: Products Temporarily Unavailable store builder issue
Posted: Monday, February 02, 2015 6:01:20 PM
I've tried to put my zazzle store on my website, so far unsuccessfully. I'm not sure if I've left something out or forgot to do something. I put the code from the "2 grids sample" into my index.php file in my wordpress install (in /public_html/wp-content/themes/MyTheme) along with the include, css, and c folders. I left the contributor handle blank and also tried my handle and "zazzle" with no success. What gives?

Not sure how you're integrating the files but if you're using WP you may want to consider using a plug-in.

FYI - I've found only limited success with any of those.

You might find the static product grid html code generation capability of SeeMyBestPro will suit you? You get given copy-and-paste html you simply paste into the text view.
More about SMBPro in the tools forum.

@myshopz -

The WordPress index.php file is not meant to be edited. While I don't mean to discourage you in any way, these plugins and Zazzle's Store Builder are just horrible. When they work, they're ok, but they seldom do.

It takes so much time to get them to look the way you want for a less than stellar looking results. They are also very slow to load products, destroying your page speed load times.

I honestly am speaking from experience here, even after I made all of those changes to the ZstoreManager plugin, I still deleted it after two months with only one referral under its belt. It just wasn't worth the time I put into it.

If you still want to try, you should create a Child Theme then create a WordPress page called Store, save/publish it. Then create a php file called page-store.php and place it in the directory that you mentioned (with index.php). page-store.php should look like this:
Quote:

<?php get_header(); ?>
{zStoreBuilder Code here}
<?php get_footer(); ?>

That would/should get you a very basic setup if you navigate to yoursite.com/store

SeeMyBestPro might be a good solution for you right now. If anything it will help get products on your site and keep you from getting discouraged. I haven't used it personally, but other people on the forum have had success with it.
