TipZ- Long term OOS and Discontinued products 2 pages: [1] 2
Posted: Tuesday, July 27, 2021 7:52:33 AM
Hi Designers!

You've asked, and we've listened. 🔊🗣 We have compiled a list of long term out of stock items that we have no ETA on a re stock for and also items that we have discontinued, in order to help you decide on which listings to keep and what can be removed.

We have moved the other list James C started for the time being as it was not possible for us to update in the last few months. We will be bringing this back as soon as we can and appreciate your patience while we get all our ducks in a row. 🦆🦆🦆

The following product types moved from Short Term OOS to Long Term OOS:

• zazzle_woodposter

The following Products have been discontinued. You should be able to locate any designs on the following PID's under the "Discontinued" filter on the back end of your store in order to delete or transfer these all in one spot!
• taylorcorp_envelopeaccessory
• commonrebels_nightlight
• fuji_plate
• marylandchina_plate
• marylandchina_platter
• musicskins_skin
• pioc_coasterpuzzle
• pioc_keepsakebox
• zazzle_diapercover
• zazzle_heartapron
• zazzle_heartcnvsjournal
• zazzle_heartkeyfob
• zazzle_heartleathertote
• zazzle_heartlthrjournal
• zazzle_heartphonecase
• zazzle_heartshirt
• zazzle_hearttravelpouch
• zazzle_spiritjersey

Please let us know if you have any questions and we will be happy to help.

Thank you,
The Z Team.

Thank you so much for starting this list! I have a question concerning the Bathroom Sets. I've just noticed that they have been removed from collections. Does this mean they will be discontinued?

I just tried the sort via discontinued as I have many night lights and am going to delete them... so sad... but the sort showed no products. Just thought you would like to know.

Also, I believe baby hats have been discontinued... correct?

Thanks

Thank you Z team!
Would you please tell me how to find the “Discontinued” filter on the back end of my store. There is no “Discontinued” on my sort list.
Appreciate the help. Kati

Will there be a replacement for the night light? That's something we sold a few of and one of the last times I rushed to delete a product, there was a replacement soon after that I wished I had just transferred to.

None of the recent discontinued things have shown up for me in the "Discontinued" filter. The only thing that shows there are drumsticks, which are not discontinued according to the product page (they're apparently in stock). The only way to find discontinued products is checking product pages for the discontinued notice.

Click on "Product Visibility" and you'll see "Discontinued" on the dropdown. However, it doesn't work very well. Nothing on the above list shows up there for me. However, the "Memory Box" showed up, something that's not on James' list.

Well for goodness sakes! All this time I thought it was under the sort function. Did not realize sort was determined by the “statistics” list. Feel like a dunce. Thank you Barbara for taking the time to helpRoses

You're entirely welcome. :-)

Zazzle, there ought to be a way for the discontinued products to be marked so they show up in Discontinued in the dropdown list.

It would be better to have a complete list of products that have been discontinued since 2020. If it wasn't on the OOS list, I might not even noticed.

Add to this list, the paper placemats and the badge holders.

If the discontinued feature in our backend isn't working properly, it would be much harder for some of us to keep up with what has or hasn't completely gone away. Esp if we have multiple stores to keep up.

Idea Jus' sayin.

I haven't checked all the Zazzle Heart products but right off the bat the ZH tote bags say "completely sold out" with a notify me option.

HELP PLEASE!

" ... PID's under the "Discontinued" filter on the back end of your store ... "

What does PID's mean? And exactly where is the "Discontinued" filter on the back end of my store?

I don't see any thing labeled filters.

Crying

Thank you

I don't have an option to select all of them and delete them. I have to do it one by one. Also, none of these products on this list show up for me, but some other ones do- the padfolios, one of the bathroom scales (but not all of the ones I have in my store, and paper tearaway placemats (only one of those, too.)

On the back end of my store, the pearl celluloid guitars have a discontinued notice, but when I click on the item, that notice is no longer there. Is this just a display error?

Hi Patricia,

PID's means Product ID number...it's the number that shows up on every product, after you've made something. And you can find it if you look at one of your products, up on the URL line, the last number you see.
Also, a much easier way to find them is on your Zazzle account, Royalty by Product. The number is always there under the name.

Now, in the backend to find the "discontinued" filter. Look at your Status bar. And click on the blue arrow, to drop down the menu. Over on the far right, there is a list. It's the 2nd one from the bottom...but most of us are saying that's it's not working properly. So you still may not have any show up.

Hope that helps you.

This thread, recently_discontinued_products was pinned to the "Create Products" forum thread...

Could it be pinned here - or - there, either way? Really doesn't matter, but pinned up at the top somewhere.

...I was looking for the thread that had the link to the OOS products, and just lost its place. Perhaps the two could be pinned on the same forum thread?
Idea

TIA,
Laura

I concur. It would be good in BOTH places, not just one. I need it here b/c I never go to create products forum since that's more noobish. Here would be great b/c you're literally requesting we make products that Zazzle is seeing trending. It would be nice to not have to switch forums for that.

Can you provide any information on which products you are planning to replace? (like a different provider for the same item) and which are types of items that you just plan to not sell anymore?

Just wondering...

It's great that we got those cute paper cups to design in time for the holidays. Is there an ETA on when paper napkins will be in stock again?

I mean... paper cups, paper napkins and paper plates pretty much are good sellers when combined, especially for the holidays. Missing one of this trio is kind of a bummer.

Sorry for butting in but I also wondered about where the official "backend" of my store is. I do not recall seeing a Status Bar either. I spend most of my time simply designing and reading the forum posts and not much attention to other things. I
therefore was wondering if you, Laura, might clear this up for me once and for all. I certainly have heard people refer to the backend of their store, but I never saw anything that was titled "backend". Thank you.

I am not Laura but I think I can help.

The backend is just the management area where you see your list of products made for whatever store you are in. It is actually officially called the Store management as opposed to the public view of your store. most of the things we do in the back end management area are done on the product tab. this is where the dropdown menu with the little blue arrow she mentioned is located, up above the list of products and it allows you to choose from a selection of what you want to see.

I hope this is helpful.

ETA: next to the little blue arrow it says Statistics

And this is what you see when you click on the little blue triangle next to Statistics:

ArtAttic, Along with Shelli above, I am indebted to you for answering a question I have long had but did not want to ask for risk of appearing so stupid! I thought maybe it was where my saved but unfinished designs were residing but did not see anything that would have confirmed as much. I stopped worrying about it ages ago and just concentrated on my designing. So now I have learned where the backend of my store is and also where to find the drop down for the discontinued items (which is what started me once again on this attempt to find the backend. Thank you!

You're very welcome Sharon Smile

Mind you... like others stated here, and in other threads, the Statistics 'discontinued' feature is fickle and should not be relied on.

I'm sad about a few of these products, like the Rickshaw bags and night lights. My 'discontinued' sort doesn't work. It only shows 9 products and I know there are a lot more than that in my shop. Guess I'll have to print out the lists and check manually if I want to go to the trouble of deleting them all.

So sad about the night lights, I sold a lot of them Crying
Also sad about the Rickshaw bags because I own 2 of them and wanted another one because I love them so much, they're great for traveling.
