Where are all the Category Landing pages?

Hi, I'm not sure how you refer to them, but I will call them Category Landing pages.

There is an incredible sale going on (up to 50% off) and it's really hard to find anything organized into categories from the front page.

Usually when you click a link on the home page or the sale page it takes you to a well organized Category page. Those are all gone.

So, at the home page, I click the 50% off. I takes me to here:
https://www.zazzle.com/coupons

On that page I see, Cards & Invitations. It takes me to here:
https://www.zazzle.com/c/cards+stamps

If I click the lower link with the wedding invitation photo, it takes me to here:
https://www.zazzle.com/c/invitations

Where is the page for weddings, that shows all types of wedding products and links to invitations with specific categories such as modern, rustic, floral, etc.

If you click the business card link, it takes you to here:
https://www.zazzle.com/c/business+cards

Where is the page with all the categories for business cards?

If you click the postcard link, it has a picture of a bride and groom, but the link takes you here:
https://www.zazzle.com/c/postcards

Which is a bunch of retro travel cards. Where is the link the postcards page with categories such as baby announcements, save the date, thank you, etc.

That's just a few examples. I think the Category Landing pages that are usually there really help customers navigate the site.

Thanks for checking into this. Smile

P.S. - I am using Chrome.

I also want to add that the same thing is happening with top categories. On the top of home page (under the search box), if you click Weddings, then "Shop Now" it takes you here:
https://www.zazzle.com/c/wedding+invitations

Instead of the Wedding Category Landing page.

If you click Office, then Business Cards and "Shop Now" it takes you here:
https://www.zazzle.com/c/business+cards

Instead of the Business Card Category Landing page.

There's more, but that's just a couple of examples.

Thanks again Smile

Hi SocialMediaChatz, thank you for your patience with this. We have recently overhauled our landing pages so this is not an error and is intended behavior. We are always testing and running experiments such as these as we continuously strive to improve our website for our users. It is feedback such as yours that we thrive on so thank you for bringing this up, I have passed this on this feedback! Smile

At the risk of sounding "negative" I, as a designer, am tired of all these "experiments". If all this effort actually resulted in increased sales, okay But the website has become just one big experiment and very confusing and reduced sales. Its Zazzle's baby and they can do with it what they want. At that level they don't need to justify anything they do but don't tell me as a designer that this is some kind of veiled attempt to create a better experience for the designer. Because it doesn't, plain and simple.

Wedding Invitations should be on the front page ALL THE TIME. At this moment on the front page, looking at "First Comes Love", that takes you to to wedding gifts. What about the most important thing, invitations? One of Zazzle's best sellers and right now, you have to dig to find them. If I were a customer looking right now at the front page, I wouldn't even know that Zazzle sold invitations - of any kind, let alone weddings.

Also at the risk of sounding negative, Zazzle doesn't do for designers, they do for shoppers, so if after careful study and consideration they decided to revamp their website to improve the shopper experience then there's very little we can do and can only assume they know what's best. Although, after my Cafepress experience and their constant devolution and message board arguments with the same "it's their business and they know best" refrain, I've learned a few things. One, they don't always know what's best since e-commerce is an ongoing experiment, and two, don't put all your eggs in one basket 'cause you could wind up with a basket full of broken eggs, which I learned the hard way.

I spent some time studying the landing page tonight and I see that along the top menu line, the weddings category is there, so wedding invitations are always on the front page. All the major product categories are there on the top menu line. Once the customer selects one of those menu categories, for example weddings, then they choose invitations and the blue boxes that appear above the top row of products has "rustic, elegant, simple, floral, etc." so the customer can choose the style of invitation they wish to search. It's just a different way of presenting the options to the customer. We have grown accustomed to the old way of finding things. The older way was more visual, which I find appealing, but that's just my personal preference.

It would be interesting to get customer feedback on the changes to see how it may or may not impact their ability to find what they are looking for. I suppose sales stats will answer that ultimately.
