There may be a bug with designing on t-shirts...
Posted: Friday, January 10, 2020 11:36:29 AM
I had designed the below t-shirt, and could not find it anywhere in my store. I knew it was okay, I thought, as it got posted for sale and everything. When I was going to make a button with the same design, I was unable to find my new design in my store...3cattails. It was in my saved designs though. After clicking on it from there, it appeared as if it was already a product...and here's the URL link to it:
https://www.zazzle.com/kiss_me_im_lucky_st_patricks_day_hat_t_shirt-235828485308893963 . And, as you can see..it's not in any store that I can tell.

So I thought, perhaps it's because I started off with the basic tshirt with the wording, Your Image Here, which is under the category of Start with a Style in the Mens Basic T-shirt from the CYO link. (Maybe I used a Zazzleblanks one or something? I thought.) But, I'm not...

Now in testing if this was my error, I have two other shirts with different PID codes...but still no store name.https://www.zazzle.com/kiss_me_im_lucky_st_patricks_day_hat_t_shirt-235811311180947264

and the third one...https://www.zazzle.com/kiss_me_im_lucky_st_patricks_day_hat_t_shirt-235866642434446985

The second one was done to figure if it was the link I used before was working. And the third was using the link from the top photos where Mickey Mouse is on the Men's T-shirts. None of these achieved my goal to put the shirt into my store to sell.

I'm using Google Chrome vers 79.0.3945.117 (Official Build) (64-bit) and the High Sierra MacOS 10.13.6.

The normal link for designing on t-shirts was working for me the day before. Other than choosing a women's shirt, to test, I can't seem to figure out why the CYO link is not working.

Thanks,
Laura

ETA: Kind of ironic what the t-shirt says...
ETA: This may not only be t-shirts...it's doing the same thing with buttons right now too. I'll switch to FF and check that browser. Update: I thought it was a Chrome issue, but it's not. I could post a button for sale, but not a t-shirt in FFox.

Latest update today, the 11th of January: T-shirts are working okay for me now, but the buttons were not. Just fyi.

After investigating the issue that your products in question are private customized products and were started from this public product.

Products from the zazzle_templates store are public products. You cannot post those for sale. If you want to post something for sale, you have to start from the cyo section: https://www.zazzle.com/custom/gifts

So we no longer can use the blanks showing at the top of the product type
search then. Those are only for customers now?

Padie, if you are referring to this page (Zazzle Templates), I am designing products from there just fine! It is the only place I get products to design.

Was there any announcement about this change? Because, where I specifically addressed in my first incident that I chose from different places...all of which came from the CYO starting point....
None of them ever had these issues before. So, I question where/when the announcement was that these are private customized products? ...of which I know nothing about. And do not understand what that even means. Could you explain more about that in more detail for us? And, btw, this was not only on the tshirts, I had buttons doing the same thing.

And other threads have been started regarding the same issue, so they may have had other products doing this too.

ETA: This page has 3 different links to design shirts on...https://www.zazzle.com/custom/tshirts

That's where I chose my 3 from. First one was the "Start With A Style"...which has been the usual place to start in the past. The 2nd place, under "Mens -T-shirts"... and then the 3rd was the one highlighted in blue, "Design Your Own Shirt". And, what I'm saying is all 3 of these links usually would allow us to make our shirts go into our own store. I don't understand why they only went to our Saved Designs folder.

ETA: I'd also like to add, any other site/store here, that includes the "Your Image Here" on ANY product should be a given that it's what I'd consider a "private customized product"...but without knowing from some sort of announcement. How are we to really know?...technically speaking.
