DESIGN SCREEN too SMALL (new design tool)
Posted: Saturday, February 02, 2019 5:35:54 AM

The design format has changed. I knew that was coming. It looks like it is going to have some neat features. I am having one major issue right from the start.

The actual area to design a product (in the middle of the screen), is so small for most of the products, that is it going to be VERY difficult to actually design the product? I must be missing something here?????

Look at the belt design area, for example. How could anyone design a belt in that space? There are many product like this with the new design software - where the design area is SO SMALL that there is NO WAY you can see what you are doing.

Some designs make it so that if you want to do anything but change the background color, the design area is too small to even see. I get that there is a preview. But I don't really want to design by hoping I moved something write, and having to look at it in the preview all the time.

WHY? What am I missing??? I am sure that ZAZZLE would not have spend all this time with a new great design too, only to make the space one actually designs so small that they can not use it?????

Any ideas, or telling me what I am missing would be great!!!

I am using Safari and have also tried Firefox.

Thank you,

Yesterday (or day before) they put a zoom feature in the design space to get around that problem. It's the blue squares overlayed on the bottom right corner of the design space labeled +, -, fill. It has been hard to design on long, thin, horizontal products (belt, pencil, ribbon) but this new zoom helps a lot with that.

Ok. Thanks.

I still could not get it to work with Safari, but that did work with Firefox. That might be my browser that I design with from now on.

Seems like there are problems with Safari.

I will experiment further and get back. Thanks for the quick response.

At first glance - it looks like this ability to ZOOM IN on long itmes (belt, pencil, etc), may actually be a big improvement.

More later! Thanks!

While many of us have been using the new tool for months, it is new to Safari users and is still being tested

THANK YOU! I think that is my issue!!! I will design with FIREFOX until Safari is working again!
