Topic: Say Hello to James!
Kevin Posted: Wednesday, April 10, 2019 11:17:03 AM
Hi Designers!

Please join me in welcoming James to the forum!

You may be thinking, wait.. James was here already?! Well.. meet James C.!

You may have seen him on a few of our recent #zazzlechat sessions on YouTube.

Here’s a little background about James :

Work
James works behind the scenes at Zazzle to representing the business of the Designing community. He interacts with many areas inside the organization to help steer programs intended to help Designers grow their business. You will be seeing more of him around here on the forums as we are developing many new programs and features that you will see in the coming weeks and months. If you see an email from Team Designer it is from his group so don’t send it to the spam folder ;) He also works with the team who aquires new products for sale so is always interested in what the Designers are interested in seeing launched.

Home
Michigan born (go Spartans!) 10+yr California transplant who loves to be outside hiking with his wife or mountain biking with his buddies. He has four young adult kids, two who are mathematicians and two who are artists, but alas he can’t convince (yet) to design on Zazzle. But he will wear them down eventually. He is brushing up on some rusty Adobe Illustrator skills now that we have the awesome custom-cut stickers so keep your eyes out for some designs he may be posting soon.
Topic: New A/B Test on Getting to the Design Tool
Kevin Posted: Friday, March 29, 2019 9:31:33 AM
Hi Designers,

We want to make you aware of an A/B Test that is now live that changes how users will get to the design tool. (As always, some of you will encounter the changes in this test environment and others will not.)

This test is focused towards customers primarily, but we want to make certain that all of you are in the loop. There will be two different entry points that will take a user directly into the design tool that skips starting from a product page. This means that creating a product is one click away for a customer, unlike the 6 or so steps that currently exist before launching the tool and creating or uploading a design.

The two places that will take a user directly into the design tool are the (1) ‘Create Your Own’ link within the navigation and (2) from the banner at the top of the home page. It is IMPORTANT TO NOTE: There is a limited number of products one can publish on from these points of entry. Also, you will NOT be able to post your designs for sale if you’ve entered the design tool from either of these two vantage points.

If you get into this limited tool, you can exit it immediately by clicking on the blue Zazzle logo in the upper left of your screen.

In addition, at the bottom of the products panel on a product page, there is a message – geared specifically for designers – where you can click on the link to be directed to the old /create page.

Another way to have all of the products at your disposal and to be able to publish them for sale, you can circumvent this testing by going directly to www.zazzle.com/create.

Thank you, as always, for your patience during this A/B Test.
