I believe it refers to accounts, not individual stores. When you publish a product, you're actually doing so under your account regardless of which store name you assign to it.

I use only one store, having emptied two others of all products and having hidden those stores, this being the only way to "close" a store, but again, all the products we publish are actually in our account. Our store names are nothing but facades.


You don't understand what they're talking about. Before the spring of 2011 all stores were separate. That is when Z changed things so we had a short window to put all or some of our stores and images under one account. Some people put all of their stores under one account. Some put some of their stores into the one account. Some forgot then, or have since forgotten, about stores that were not merged into one account. Those orphaned stores are the ones that funny_tshirt is referring to.


funny_tshirt if your old stores that you can't access now have had no sales, then no fees will be taken from them.




Maz and Colorwash many thanks to both for explaining regarding accounts and Maz you described the type of accounts im referring to perfectly as orphaned accounts so thank you. I was confused as I received the email from Zazzle but because they dont mention which 'account' of mine is dormant and may be charged I thought they were referring to 'stores' as 2 dollars per store would start to add up each month!

So do we now have a way to close stores and accounts?

Without being able to do this I feel a bit 'trapped' into paying as when I first joined many years ago I opened a couple of test stores while I was getting used to things.

Once figured out I set up better stores and left those others that I now have forgotten even the names of them and they are not linked to my current account. My computer remembers one old store and I tried to access it the way I used to with the name of the store in the email field as I dont remember what email address it is linked to as I closed all extra email addresses years ago too. This just resulted in me accidentally opening a new one! and I still cant access the old one or remember the name of any others from so long ago ( more than 8 years)

Zazzle needs to be clearer in notifing which account/store is under threat of being charged for

Also does a new product with a 'customised' design count? eg if I put a design currently on a man's tshirt on to a womans tshirt and republish does that count? or does it have to be a competely new image file used?
