Topic: A retail store wants to buy...

some of my greeting cards. I don't know if they saw them here* or on my regular website or in a store, I"ll have to ask.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this!

Here's the question: Is it possible for a retail store to get a really, really good deal here and still be able to mark up so cards are competitively priced with other cards "out there?" When I work through one of the card companies with which I license my cards, a store buys the company's minimum amount at a wholesale price and marks up usually about 50%. I make a royalty per card. It adds up as the cards are in thousands of stores.

Even with the 50% mark up they are still reasonably priced at retail. I don't want to go through the company at this time and am trying to figure out if it makes sense for them to purchase through Z or direct through me, which of course means I would print and ship.

What is the advantage of doing through Z?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks all... I even have a line of card / characters called Mom E. People ... I submitted to the company that licenses my cards and they passed on them, but what do they know???

I'm going to post some today and also will be giving biz' cards a shot on my . Why not! They might apply just as well to my where I had previously posted a few ... but perhaps not enough of a variety to sell. I also just got a few special requests for people adopting boys from China so I did some drawings yesterday and hope to post in the store today ... along with promoting through my coordinating blog and FB.

I'm sure my biggest challenge is needing more time to create the art and to build product for my stores... I always say I (like many of us) fit a full time job into pockets of time!

I reaalllllly appreciate the support here gang!

I have two stores and checking it helps me know which store I might focus on...also, it helps me know what people are looking at ... I'm sure I'm talking itty bitty minimal numbers compared to ProSellers... but when you in the building stage, it helps give a bit of direction -
