Learn how to improve on Pinterest with this tailored action guide 2 pages: 1 [2]

I had the same problem, but then discovered that with the latest version you need to select ALL the page (not just the table) and copy it in. It is in the notes but, of course, I didn't read those straight away!

It's worth persevering, the results are interesting.

Thank you so much for this.

I hadn't realized (and should have!) that it needed more visibility, so I've now added it in bold, just above the paste box.

I've been using it in anger over the last few days and one thing it's helped me with is in focussing my effort.
I hadn't realised that I'd not given descriptions for some of my boards and the action guide is helping me work on the highest performing ones first, where they need it. I'm using the links in the Boards pop-up summary table to do this.

There's another piece of guidance I'm going to add - repinning your high value pins on relevant boards you're a contributor on. It's easy to do with the pin links given on the Pins pop-up.

I hope this helps Smile

Now at V3.3.
This version adds a pinning tool for Society6 as part of the tailored guidance for Pins. If you've got a great click through rate and want to find similar designs, now you can use Society6 as a place to pin from in addition to Zazzle.

I don't like to (and this is the first time) mention tools of mine for other places here on the Zazzle forums but it made sense to on this occasion.
(Mods, I hope you understand Roses )

I have a question....

I've been using it seriously for over a week now.
To track progress, I've been keeping a record by copying and pasting the tables in the pop-ups into a spreadsheet and that way I can see change over time. I suppose I could have used notepad but the rows and columns of a spreadsheet make it easier.

One thing I have found in doing this is it would be handy to have some more info in both pop-ups to keep with the record over time I'm building in my spreadsheet:
Total impressions across all shown boards/pins
Total clicks across all shown boards/pins
Total saves across all shown boards/pins

and similarly for individual boards and pins.

I know I can see that lot on the Pinterest analytics page but it would be a pain to individually copy and paste them into my spreadsheet. If that info was in the pop-ups, a single copy and paste would get all the info for my building record.

So, the question; do you think including that extra info would clutter the pop-ups too much?
If so, I'll make them hidden with a button to unhide them.

Thanks for any feedback!

I was too quick for you all!

So it's now at Version 4. The pop-ups now have a show more button that reveals 3 new columns:
o Impressions
o Clicks
o Saves

I've also spent time improving the look and feel of the pop-ups, with sort buttons top and bottom of the table. I've also made them behave more sensibly if you resize them.

One final piece of guidance that I haven't included yet is that where you have a board (even one with a low click-through-rate) that's getting a significant number of clicks AND you find it easy to pin more of the same to that board - then get to it!

I'm thinking the nIFTTTy Scheduler here...

Here's a screenshot of the new-look pop-ups:

Now at V4.1

I added relevant totals at the bottom of the pop-up summary tables and fixed a bug where one of the new sort buttons wasn't working.

Enjoy 😎

Now at V4.3 (yes, skipped a version)

I added in the guidance I hadn't included, as mentioned ^^

It'll appear in the Boards section's CTR guidance on the underlying page, but only if your best board click through rate is better than that of the best performing board.

When it does, you get a link to help you set up a nIFTTTy schedule, if that's what you want to do.

The link uses the board's name as the initial search terms and depending on how it's named, you might need to change them when you follow the link.

Here's what it looks like:

See yours here!

Enjoy 😎

I'm working on the next version's new feature right now - the ability to export the tables as a csv file so you can do stuff in spreadsheets, if that's what floats your boat!

As many of you are probably aware, I make these tools primarily to help me do stuff as a Zazzler trying to promote successfully. That means I add in functionality to satisfy real-world needs (based on mine).

In this case, I was selecting, copying and pasting the tables into a spreadsheet, just so I've got a history. That way I can check how successful my efforts are over time.

But that ended up with more than enough steps to make it a pain. I was having to view each table, hit the show more button and then do the copying and pasting. And we all know that fewer steps (and doing away with needing to remember them) makes things easy enough that they actually get done!

So watch this space to hear about the release of the new version!

Ack! I also just found out (and am in the process of fixing) that the links provided to boards and pins have gone awry in all but Firefox.

Ok, Version 5 is now out. The pesky bug messing up the pin and board links in non-Firefox browsers has been squished and they're all now working.

I've tested on a Mac, pls let me know if you experience any issues in Windows browsers Roses

The key new feature is the ability to export the tables so you can keep a history and monitor progress. The new export button gives you a csv file, standard for using in spreadsheets.

Enjoy 😎

I've now written a blog post tutorial with plenty of screenshots and tips on using it:

It just keeps getting better! Version 5.1 is out and introduces links to let you get related pins from Pinterest and see related boards. You'll find them in your tailored guidance section and they'll help you mold and massage your boards into better shape.
How? By helping you focus and restrict your pinning to non-Zazzle products. You'll be saving (repining) them to relevant boards, of course!

I can't think of any more changes that would improve this. I've been using it in anger since 16th November and, every time I've thought to myself "wouldn't it be handy/useful if...", I've added that functionality.

Of course, if you can think of something I can add / change to make things easier / better, please reply with your ideas.
Thanks!

I've been keeping a history of sorts from mid-November, when I started following the specific advice given. Since then:

βœ… 36 percentage-points increase in my Boards' overall click-through-rates
βœ… 34 percentage-points increase in my Pins' overall click-through-rates
βœ… Total clicks (on pins in the listed top 20 Boards) are up by almost 20%
βœ… Total saves on those pins are up by 41%

Exactly how much of that improvement is down to following the advice in the action guide, getting on with my normal pinning regime and the fact we're in the run up to Christmas, Hanukkah and others, is open to debate.
