Zazzle Associates Program Enrollment Update
Posted: Tuesday, March 05, 2019 11:32:50 AM
Hello Designers & Associates,

As we work towards optimizing the Zazzle experience for our Designers, Associates and Customers, we will be updating our Associates Program enrollment process in the next month so we can work more efficiently with our Associates Program members.

In this update, we’ll be implementing the following enrollment change: When someone joins Zazzle, they will no longer be automatically enrolled into the Associates Program. Instead, they will have the choice to opt-in to the program if they wish to participate. If not, they can choose to stay unenrolled. Further details on how the process will work are below.

Enrollment update summary:

When a user is new to Zazzle and they visit the Associate Center section in their account, they will not see their Associate ID (referral ID), but instead a short summary of the Associates Program with a checkmark box underneath. By checking the box and agreeing to the Associates Program Agreement, the user will be enrolled in the program. If the user leaves the box unchecked, they will not be enrolled in the program.

How it will work:

If a user chooses not to be enrolled, and the checkmark box in their account in the Associate Center is not checked, then:

--The user will not see an Associate ID (referral ID) when they go to their Associate Center. They will see the option to enroll.

--When a user utilizes Zazzle share tools (including social share buttons, link to this tool, and email this to a friend tool, whether they are logged into their Zazzle account or not, no Associate ID (referral ID) will be added to their links.

If a user chooses to be enrolled, and the checkmark box in their account in the Associate Center is checked, then:

--The user will see their Associate ID (referral ID) in the Associate Center.

--The user’s Associate ID (referral ID) will be added to any links that they share using the Zazzle share tools when they are logged into their Zazzle account.

Please note that a user is only eligible to earn referrals if they are enrolled in the Associates Program.

Will all Zazzle users who are currently enrolled in the Associates Program stay enrolled in the program after this update?

All Associates who have earned at least one referral in the past six months will continue to be enrolled in the program. If a user has not earned a referral in the past six months, they will be unenrolled from the program. The good news is, if the user wants to continue with the program but they haven’t earned a referral in the past six months, they can simply go to their Associate Center and re-enroll by checking the box.

All users who have ever earned a referral on Zazzle will stay enrolled in the program after this update.

Thank you.

Best,

Z Team

Hello Designers & Associates,

We came up with a list of FAQs to help answer any questions you may have regarding the upcoming Associates Program update.

1. Q -Who does this update apply to?

A -This Associate Program Enrollment update applies to all users including Designers, Associates and Customers.

2. Q -Will un-enrolling Associates be a one-time occurrence or will we be un-enrolled in the future if we don’t earn a referral every six months?

A -Although it is common practice with affiliate programs to un-enroll inactive affiliates on a regular basis, we will only be un-enrolling users that have not earned a referral in six months this one time.

3. Q-Will I be notified if I am un-enrolled from the program?

A-Yes, you will receive an email notifying you that you have been un-enrolled from the Associates Program.

We will also update this forum post once the un-enrollment update occurs. We encourage you to go to the Associate Center section of your account to review your Associates Program status once we announce in this forum thread that the Associates Program enrollment update has taken effect.

4. Q -If I decide to un-enroll from the Associates Program and decide to re-enroll at a later time, will my Associate ID still be the same?

A -Yes, your Associate ID (referral ID) will still be the same when you re-enroll.

5. Q -If a Customer clicks on a referral link of an Associate who has decided to un-enroll and makes a purchase, will the Designer royalty still be subject to a carve out fee (will the sale be considered as ‘referred’)?

A -In this case, the royalty should not incur a carve out fee.

Thank you and hope this helps.

Best,
Z Team

UPDATE: In order to keep things simple, we’ve decided to keep everyone enrolled in the Associates Program who has ever earned a referral on Zazzle when the Associates Program Enrollment Update occurs. So if you have ever earned a referral on Zazzle, you will stay enrolled in the program even after the enrollment update goes live.
