We wanted to remind you about a few basic principles for creating quality designs about the candidates.

Showing support for your favorite candidate is allowed and encouraged.

As a reminder though, Zazzle does not allow any designs that use a campaign’s official logo or any other trademarked material, and we comply with requests to respect candidates’ intellectual property rights.

Tip #1: DO NOT
Just a friendly reminder, do NOT use a campaign’s official logo – the logo is typically trademarked and therefore off-limits for Zazzlers

Tip #2: DO
Do use a candidate’s first name and/or last name – using a name to show your support is fair game

Tip #3: DO
For stock images, make sure you’ve purchased the rights for “commercial use” in order to create and sell a design on Zazzle

Check out this blog post for a few reminders!

Hopefully you have all been following recent political news!

Here at Zazzle, we’ve been seeing trends with yard signs! We’re seeing an abundance of great political t-shirts and bumper stickers, and we’d love to extend the political designs to more products.

Zazzle Tip: To make sure your yard signs are extra attractive for customers and for potential Zazzle promotions, publish on the most cost effective option.

Keeping up with the media is a great way to stay current with your political designs. The next GOP debate is September 16 at the Ronald Reagan National Presidential Library - with the success of the last debate, we anticipate this debate will be just as hot. Seems like a perfect time to dust off those vintage Reagan designs. Make sure you tag them, or any other designs perfect for this event, with “zlection” so we can check them out for potential promotion!

Next up, October 13 will be the first Democratic Debate, hosted by CNN. Get ready for Hillary and Bernie to battle it out! Is your store ready for their debate?

As you might have heard in our Zazzle Chat this week, our tried and true products like T-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, buttons, and yard signs always do well for political designs. But the products that have been really getting attention are our unique novelty products like hot sauces, nail decals, and Cap-Sac visors.

Inspired to design? Ready, set…go! Happy designing!

Hello Designers,

Today is the first Presidential Debate, and we think now is the time to hop on board the political train if you haven’t done so yet. We would still love to see some more new, fun and fresh designs on apparel, bumper stickers, hats, buttons, yard signs, etc.

Happy Designing!
