Hello Designers,

We are excited to announce the addition of audio and video to our suite of design collaboration tools. For those times where being able to talk will make the collaboration process more efficient or even very personal if you choose to use video you can now choose your level of communication.

To use them you will need to be in the design tool and click on the "Invite Friends" button. That will pop up a dialog where you can either enter an email address, or even click on the "Start a public collaboration" which will provide you with a link to chat to send to someone if you don't know their email address.

Once you invited friends or started a public collaboration there will be a camera icon next to your profile icon. If you click it you will see the following dialog. Click continue.

You will need to give your browser permission to access any camera or microphone on your device. The following image is from a Chrome browser.

Once you give your browser permission to user your camera and microphone you can chose which ones to use. Note you will always have control over which methods of communication you use, text, audio, or video or any combination.

All video participants can be seen on the Video tab of the chat pop up and the camera icon on the header bar will be a pulsing pink.

If you click on the camera icon in the header of the design space you can always access the controls to change the settings or leave the video chat.

We hope you enjoy the new collaboration tools, we feel it will delight our customers who love to collaborate on design, and potentially help you communicate with customers if you choose to do so.
