Manage items in collections

Hi,
I would like to ask more experienced colleagues: how do I get rid of duplication in a collection (since some - actually nearly all - of them are thematically organized and I by mistake have put there some identical items). I can't replace an item or delete it (I'm writing about collections!) or hide or...
What should I do?
Thanks,
Glooria

The system won't let you put a product in the same collection twice. Are you sure you didn't create duplicate products, and both of them are in the collection?

Thanks, MAZ,
I got You but the problem is just as I described (perhaps once I changed the title of one collection but not the content). I've in a certain collection two pairs of identical pictures. I `organized` them such a way that they are at the end but not more. I wanted to send some collection to Contest but can imagine that such duplication would annoy any person who looks at the collection. I even left one collection with duplication (`Reserve`) and built a normal collection - the same items without duplication. Perhaps is it a good school but now I would like to get rid of that `Reserve`... Yes - I can't delete it as well! Is there a solution?

AND - I've not very big collections. To contest I was ready to send 9 and 10 but in the applying form, I found only 7 lines for numbers. So I don't know how to build a bit larger collection (10-15) as a composition, especially a start and the ending (contrasts or on the contrary near subjects should be organized as well, I'll plan it carefully).

Hi Glooria, if you have a product in a collection that you are not happy with you can simply remove it from the collection. You can find out more here! Hope that helps? Smile

Hi, Padie,
thanks. It really helped and it was just easy. In the beginning, I feared it could delete not only the one item I wanted to get rid but the second what I wanted to stay, too. Or even worse - the item from my score at all. But it turned out very easy. Thanks again and good luck - in Your job and in Your helping actions (what an expression! just in Your posts)

Newbie here,

Question; how do you add products to your collections?

Having a hard time figuring it out!

Thank you!

There are a couple of ways to add a product to a collection.

1 -If you are on a product page look for the icon with the + to the left of the heart. It's under the image of the product. Click on that and you'll then see a popup with your collections listed. Choose the collection you want to add it to. If you haven't already created the collection you can create a new one from that popup.

2- If you are in the back end of your store where you see all of your products and can create categories, look for the actions menu under the image of the product. Click on that and you'll see a menu where you can add it to a collection from there.

3 -You can add multiple products to a collection from the back end by checking the boxes under the product images. That will activate the other actions menu at the top right of the page under the blue create new product button. You'll see the same menu as mentioned above.
