downloading my own images--can I?
Posted: Sunday, April 05, 2015 9:57:55 PM
I've misplaced a couple of my original images that are in my image file here on zazzle. Is there any way for me to download them, so I can have a digital copy on my computer?

No, they do not keep digital copies of your images. They cannot and will not, it's been asked several times, and each time the answer is the same. No.

They change the format of the image so it can be used with their machines.

Bummer. I'll have to keep looking. Thanks!

Backup, backup, backup. Your images are too precious to lose. I back mine up on USB drives often.

Yes I use G drive + dropbox and Im taking NO chances ever again.

I lost a lot of my stuff, images included when my MAC hard drive crashed, it was NOT recoverable. Sad

Lesson learned the hard way and I should of known better. Crying

I wish for this very thing the odd time lol! Like just recently when trying to find the original file, which has a different file name than what I have it named on zazzle, so I can adjust something in Photoshop. Can;t locate it anywhere on my external hard drive nor my Zazzle file on my computer :-( Could photograph the original antique thingy again but I did lots of work to it for the design I uploaded :-( Ah well, can't expect Zazzle to be our cloud lol!

glstorrs, I have one more suggestion for you. You could go to your "Images" folder in your zazzle account, and when you see the images that you have stored, you could click on the one that you have lost. If you click on it, it will bring up a screen that contains the image and your description of it.

There's a program named "snipping tool" on the internet that you can download. Using "snipping tool" you can draw a box around the image that you are looking at and then snip it. A box containing the image will come up. You can save that image to wherever you store images on your computer, take it into your photo program, and bring the resolution and image size up to what you had before, and then save it to your hard drive.

Voila, you can start creating products with it again!

Also, Windows PCs have one of these tools built in.

Yeah but that isn't the original high resolution large file you'd be snipping from the screen.

Doing this will result in a very poor quality image, and should not be re-uploaded to Zazzle as it may look O.K. on screen but will be pixelated and blurry on many products and could result in returns or unhappy customers.

One at a time...sure. (windows)

In your zazzle images list...

1. right click on image and open in a new tab.
2. go to that tab and right click again and save image
3. res is gonna be low but i've used irfanview to resize with decent results.

sux but it's the only way i've been able to get some of mine back.

Know the pain, even following my own advice on backup.

Hard drive died.

Google drive bug, it shows that I have data used but folders are not showing up.

As for the thumb drive, it wasnt water proof.

And the copy on the phone, someone wanted the phone more than me.

But as they say dont put all you eggs in one basket. As such did have a copy on the 3 PODs that have major brand backing. So not a big loss. Goal is to publish new, and avoid develop an ego by looking to much at past works

Have you looked at the image name on Zazzle and done a global search of your folders? At some point you must have created an image on your computer with the same name (unless you change it on Zazzle) so finding that image on your computer might at least put you in the vicinity of the original on your computer?????

Yes you can actually. First, click CREATE in the upper right corner menu. Then click Start New Design on the left. Select UPLOADS from the sidebar menu on the left. Select your image and add it to the design. Then you will have a DOWNLOAD button in the upper right corner. Idea

That's zazzle create and you don't download what you uploaded but the product preview, which can be simply the design on a white background, but it won't have the transparency and it will be 72dpi 2048px at the most. It isn't a download of the original.

You can create something like this:

I also use the create area for ads:

But it won't work for your design download.

I keep external terabyte drives for all my artwork and photos, one I use to upload from and the other is a backup. That way I never have to depend on the "cloud" or worry about losing it.

...you can download as png with transparency...

is 2 type of workaround,

1st - on Chrome with developer tools:

double click on product open edit, click on image thumb first [on left side of edit] and then rightclick on image opened in canvas and choose inspect,
next go to sources and here look in folder named "rlv/svc",in category:
https://www.zazzle.com/rlv/svc/view?realview...etc ..till find your image [as png not jpg] at 600+px on biggest size...right click on that link and open image in a new tab,

2nd - on chrom or firefox ...must instal uBlock Origin extension [the most fast and easy methtod]:

double click on product open edit, click on image thumb first, click on uBlock and choose element picker mode then on the file opened in canvas...that will open a extension window where under the neetwork filter you'llfind link to your file ...open tht link in a new tab,

in the new opened tab, you can change dimension of the file from 600 to up to 2048 px on biggest size just changing "max_dim=600"...and at last stand save as [and dont forget to rename file from "view" to whatever you want]...will save file on your device as png on 32bit

!!!Work only on PC & Laptop, but not in Smartphone or SmartTV or Tablet!!!

this is not original file you uploaded but is a variant of this converted by ZZ to be used in editor
dpi/ppi values will be variable depends on standard characteristic of each type of product
