What was it called again ...?

I'm stuck. I know there is another word that describes the people, who are in the center of a celebration like the birthday child, or laureate, or the wedding couple.

the honorees
the guest of honor
the person or persons celebrated
the acclaimed

... and another word which is better than those listed, but it eludes me currently. Can somebody help out?

I found this list. Are any of these words what you are looking for? This type of thing happens to me all the time and sometimes it's days later at some random time it will pop into my head.Laughing

guest of honor synonyms

Your link is better than mine for synonyms, but the word is not among it. Maybe it was honoree and I'm just imagining I had a better one. I'm looking for a suitable text label for invitations and I guess "Name of Honorees" will do nicely.

Thank you.

You are welcome. Maybe you will think of it later.

Perhaps "celebrant"? (I did not review words given in list).
