Sometimes when I get hurt, I laugh hysterically before I cry, so it was interesting when as a teen I broke my ankle and I needed my friend to go get my dad to carry me into the house but she didn't believe I was really hurt because I was laughing so she just kept saying "get up" until the laughter finally wore off and she realized I was hurt...

sheesh! Laughing Crying

Something just dawned on me: Cats will often purr when they're hurting. I wonder if that and human stress laughter are somehow related.

I purr when I'm nervous.

At least you don't "make bread" at the same time. Or do you?

OK. You have proven your worth. Please do not share this recipe WITH ANYBODY ELSE. I don't need this recipe ending up on a T-shirt on redbubble, or some *. Pinterest can suck it too. I Can't stress that enough..Here it is...

Steve, I used your recipe a few days ago for celery but had to wait on the report until the pickling had had a while to develop. I altered a couple things, one being mustard seed, which I didn't have, so I guessed when adding a bit of ground mustard. I used about 3/4's the sugar you use because that's the kind of gal I am. Not knowing what kind of vinegar you use, I did a half-and-half of white and cider, but had to add a touch more vinegar because I like it tart. Then I gave it a nice healthy dose of cayenne. I just now tasted a chunk. It's delicious, it's crunchy, and it's all mine because the other idiots in the household believe celery is the devil's spawn.

Thank you for the recipe...but what kind of vinegar do you use?

You're friend has my sympathy! I giggle when I'm nervous too. I actually have relatives that do it to.

When I'm nervous, I turn to stone. No expression, no speech, no nothing. Come to think of it, though, I haven't been nervous in a really long time. This is due either to my advanced age or to high blood pressure medication.

Skip, I'm not sure if that's hilarious or tasteless. Hilariously tasteless? Tastelessly hilarious? The question is, who bought them and why did they buy them? A tasteless question, of course.

It would seem my own sense of humor annoyed you. I didn't mean to.

I have sold 5 of these, the last one being earlier this year. This was just one of my first feeble attempts at graphic art...or whatever you want to call it! LOL It was filler for my shop when I started up back in 2010.

As of today, it's had 1,173 views and sold 5 times. Every sale has been a shock. LOL! Smile

Well it is apparent someone liked it. It's not entirely bad and I can see where it would appeal to young girls.

I posted several snow globes yesterday. They're in that realm of "These will probably never sell / why am I bothering?" as something I've not tried before. But I decided to offer them anyway, since the things I have strong doubts about seem to succeed more often than the things I feel really positive about. We'll see.

Here's another one from me... I can't even tell you what made me think this would be a good idea, but somebody bought one. Idea

It's really not bad. I'm trying to avoid straight columns/rows when I tile now; I end up sometimes either doing all the placement by hand, but mostly I just decide it's not worth the effort.

Just posting a bunch of tech nonsense, it made me realize I haven't seen SoftProduct around for a bit - has anyone heard from him?

^Geez, I feel silly - I should've thought of going to see if his store had activity.

Thanks, LM!

I'm getting a kick out of this old thread, so thought I would make a comment. I just tried some pickled cauliflower that a friend helped me make, and it's to die for! Now I can't wait to pickle more stuff! I want to try pickled eggs. Yummy!

I got a real kick out of the toilet paper design and the "I love you" on the corrugated cardboard. Laughing You just never know what people will buy! Different strokes for different folks, as they say!

I've got a couple more that fall into the, "What was I or the buyer thinking?" column:

This first one is another item that came from a photo of my eye, treated with a fractal effect. I've always found it rather 'meh'; not enough contrast. It's just...weird:

Someone bought this... what's the appeal? I should ask my sister - she bought a green version of this design on a pouf of all things, but I think that was more because I made it, and for the color:

I like the red box, it looks Celtic.

I'm with your sister and Shelli--I like the design. It has the Celtic look, and it also has the appearance of something Middle Eastern, perhaps tile work.

This rather odd lizard art I made sold on a tile once...really I thought right after posting it "why did i put this up in my shop? it is too weird nobody will ever buy this"... I thought I would probably be deleting it...but then i saw one sold! lol! what do i know!

...still I have my doubts it will ever sell again.
