I have sold one thing in June. Anyone else having this trouble?
Posted: Thursday, June 20, 2019 1:11:46 PM
June has been slow. I have had about 20 sales but none in the last couple days. Hopefully the rest of Summer isn't this slow. I am just trying to gear up for the holiday season.

I've had a normal-since-the-bottom-dropped-out-in-2015 June, with two sales.

Only 2 sales so far this month, but at least on one of them I earned over $17, it was for business cards.

Make that 3 sales, just checked by earnings.

Very slow for me

Yes I agree, June sales are painfully slow at the moment.
Posted: Saturday, June 22, 2019 3:08:31 PM
Yes, pretty slow considering the month is nearly over and I made 6 sales, 1 cancelled... so a total of 5 actual sales.
Posted: Saturday, June 22, 2019 5:57:58 PM
Very slow only 4 sales.

Only two 3rd Party sales so far this month.

With the new promoter store hubbub, my sales are all organic. More than half of my sales had been referred, I was locked in some pretty decent sweeps.

Guess it's time to punk my top designs a bit and get them back out there to be picked up again.

It's always something... Laughing Laughing

Did you guys go with the promoter store after all? (if you don't mind that I asked)

Posted: Sunday, June 23, 2019 12:03:42 PM
No. We did not go with a Promoter account.

Reason: Too much time investment and micromanagement to maintain the traffic necessary. For sure not for regular folk, but Robert is very specific and intense when he's working a project. And some of the numbers he searches out are unnecessary and time sinks.

Not to mention the product lines would all need to be revamped and showcased.

And, frankly, while we've been retired for 12+ years, we're now comfortable. The priority for us is the next 20 years, getting our property and farm started, and negotiating 2 homes, (one in Vegas, one in WA State) until my folks pass, then it's WA State to retire for us.

While we're still part of the Zazzle community, we're looking at a different path ahead of us now Smile And, it's very cool, because Zazzle has turned from a trudge back to a fun hobby. And if we can just casually add to it here and there, then it's all the better for us. Robert will get back to promoting here and there, and we'll have brain time for eachother and the taking care of my folks.

Okay, yeah, cuz I read your post about why you weren't going for the promoter store and agreed with every word so I just wondered if you changed your mind.

I relate to the comfy retired folk groove! I wish you all the best with your plans! I lived in Seattle a long long time ago but things didn't work out and I ended up back in Oklahoma where it seems like I am supposed to be... and that is okay too. I am content.

on topic, June has been a surprisingly good month for me as far as sales go. Hoping things pick up for everyone soon!

Some of my Father's Day designs I created more than a year ago (April 2018) just started picking up this June. So just keep on trucking along, because I notice that some things may take a year to really start selling.

I am going right now to make a featured store Pinterest board for your new store and set it up with a Nifttty scheduler which will auto pin from your popular products each day and hopefully generate some traffic and sales for you and referrals for me.

hope it helps at least get you some views.

really beautiful designs!

I will take the time today and next week to share items on my social media from those who having been experiencing low sales. Let's get over this summer slump together.

I will share them here on my various social media:

I suppose it’s about your perspective too. Last June I had 1 sale of a design transferred to a postcard and that was with only 1 every month or two for the year until September and October. I had a couple of sales in December and then nothing for January or February.

This June I have had 16 sales (7 if you count the sale of 10 different postcards to one person as just one “order”-I kind of do) and 8 referrals from Pinterest. This seems like a really good month to me as far as number not dollar amount, but I know for some that is probably a slow day or week. So, while I would love more, I feel positive in the direction it is going.

Pretty decent number of orders. Most were at the beginning of the month presumably for Father's Day (various animal designs featuring goats or deer, which is probably for men). A couple days ago I sold car mats, luckily the full set of 4.

I will also pin from all the posts here that have mentioned slow sales if an effort to help out. Pinning to boards called Zazzle Favorites and Zazzle designs.

It's fine. Those referrals are elusive little critters anyway. lolIdea

Until the last 2 day of June, nothing. Which I attributed to doing something wrong with #'s, |'s, seo optimizaion or tagging changes...

Went back and undid many changes, email zazzle to ask if I did something wrong....

And the the 29th hit and sales came back! 6 in the last 9 days. Not big money, but at least they seem to be coming back.

Seeing this post made me wonder if I needed to change anything back... or did I just fall into a sales lull as so many others did.

I'll never know.

Hey Catherine, with your birthday dinosaur cards, you should add "birthday" to the title. In your description talk about it being a personalized birthday card, and make sure you have tags that read "birthday" "dinosaur birthday" "happy birthday" so that people can find those cards.

After you do that, make those cards and some coordinating birthday supplies (like the wrapping paper, party hats, etc) a birthday themed collection.

Once people begin to find you, you will start seeing more sales.
