How do you get the URL to post Zazzle images on this forum?
Posted: Wednesday, September 11, 2019 9:41:37 AM
I keep seeing people posting images that they've uploaded to Zazzle on this forum. Seems like great way to do it, but I can't figure out how people are getting the image URL in order to post it. The only way I've been able to do that is to dissect the source code (html) for the page, which can't possibly be how normal people are getting the info. What's the secret?

If you mean the link for product share, click the "Chain Link" in the Share tool and choose the BBCode at the bottom.

If for other things, such as screen shots, read this post:

If it's just a picture from your images folder, this is how I do it.

1. Go to your images and find the one you want to use.

2. Right click and “copy image address”

3. In your forum post, click the image that looks like sun over a mountain which will give you the [ img ] [/ img] tag

4. Paste your copied image address between these two tags and size accordingly (e.g. not too big/or too small - it’s the number on the very end of the image's url ie =400

No doubt there will be other ways

Have fun!

We used to be able to right-click an image in My Images, choose to copy its location, then paste in a post. I tried it just the other day and, alas, it no longer works.

Thus, if that's what you're talking about, Gina's method for screen shots appears to be the only way, which is a shame because the image can be too small.

EDIT: MothersDaisy was faster than I was, and good thing too. I'm about to give her method a try...

YES!!! I'd obviously forgotten how to do it. The only difference is that it's not the same in Windows where I have to "copy image location" and where the size number to change comes after "dim=".

I just tried my "copy image address" and manage to post so maybe depends on browser? Roses

Near as I can tell, it's only too small if you choose "Thumbnail".

You're turn Zinger. Let's see what you can do...assuming the dog didn't eat the image.

OK... talking about stuff from My Images, not products - and apparently it's a browser issue. In Edge you get no options for getting the image location, so I relented and used Chrome and voila! (Daisy seen here expressing how I'm feeling at the moment - BTW Colorwash… she absolutely would have eaten the picture if she could have gotten her paws on it!)

Thanks Guys! Maybe I'll have to think about switching to Chrome... all it all it's a better browser than Edge, but it's just such a resource hog once you get more than a few tabs open. Hmmmm….

We all know exactly how Daisy felt at that moment.

There's always Firefox, which many of us use and which doesn't end up with nearly as many Zazzle-style glitches as does Chrome.

Hmmmm… I haven't used Firefox in decades, but perhaps it's worth a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I used to love Chrome until it became a memory hog then I switched to FF and never looked back.

When everyone else is having browser issues, Firefox isn't. It is very stable and lighter on the resources.

I won't buy or download anything from Google. They've gotten far too big for their britches.

Yes, and for what it is worth, Mozilla (the makers of FF) are always fighting for a free internet. I even donate to the cause from time to time.

AGREED!

You know, I'm thinkin' y'all might seriously come to regret having taught me this little trick. I'll try not to be too obnoxious with it!

Zinger, I just spent an hour looking at cat memes. It’s your fault.

I'll get you back. How? Do you love reading books about and by animals? So do I. Recently and in need of a happy book to read, I started exploring and discovered books I've read and loved and other books I plan on reading, all of these books focused on animals. I've been slowly pinning them on Pinterest. Have a (um) gander:

No seriously, I'll check it out when I feel like I can't force myself to look at another wedding seating chart! Grin
