What do you think about this strange order?

I am thrilled but somewhat skeptical regarding the new orders I found in my earnings report today. Someone (3rd party) ordered a quantity of 2 paperweights. And two MORE orders of 2 each--exactly the same as the first one and according to the time of order, these were all placed at the same exact time. I am thinking that this is a glitch or the customer hit a button more than once or thought the order did not take and placed it two more times?? If you wanted 6 of the same item, why would you not place them all in one order of 6 and not 3 orders of 2? And the time factor makes me think it is a mistake that the additional 2 orders of 2 each were made. What do you think? Time will tell, I guess!

Any chance they were customized? Like a name added? Was there a small 'c' in the report?

Hmmmm...well, yes a 'c' appears with each (3 orders total) order of 2, so maybe they won't be turning pink on me--fingers crossed! Thanks Gina for your thoughts.

They might be wedding favors for bridesmaids or something.

I've had orders like that with sunglasses and tote bags that I market specifically for bridesmaids.

8 pair of glasses all ordered at the same time.

6 tote bags...

all customized so they had to order them separately.

Yeah - I wouldn't be too worried just yet - I've had similar. 10 totes to the same person all with presumably different names on them. 3 blankets all customized too. That one sounds legit. Worry when they do something like I just had... someone ordered stickers with a 'your logo here' placeholder and didn't customize them... I kind of knew that one would go bye-bye... Sometime I wish communicating with the customers was easier, because it's not hard to take the logo placeholders off...

I've also had similar happen to me with a customer who ordered 3 of the same license plate frames. All were customized, but I didn't realize at the that they all had to be ordered separately and was mystified as to why the same customer would make 3 separate orders for the same product. LOL

I appreciate all of you sharing your own experience along this line. I will know in the future
to not automatically assume it is a mistake (glass half FULL!). Thanks everyone.

Well, if there's an issue, Zazzle will sort it out with the customer anyway. People do all kinds of ordering without thinking, and come back, cancel the order then tomorrow they'll get their act together and re-order, they'll get one in black today for the guy, and pink tomorrow for a girl, or they added another 10 to their party list and so on and so on. You can't assume the customer did something wrong, you'll start thinking they're all wrong!

I had this happen to me with 6 customized softballs. Ordered 2, during the day. Ordered 2 more, late at night, then 2 more about an hour and a half later. ALL got canceled at a later date, which I figured that would happen. Not sure why and will never know why.
