Store Name & Store Address
Posted: Saturday, January 25, 2020 8:14:35 AM
I'm in the process of setting up a company, and I want to use my company name as a store name. But; store name and address are registered by someone else and are not used. It is not clear by whom it was registered. Because; designer deleted his account. How can I get the store name and address?

We can’t delete our stores. You are assuming the name is not being used. The store could be set to private and still be in use.

I don't think the user who registered the store is like using the store. Because; The store address has not been used for a very long time. I will be very happy if you could delete this store. Brands such as Disney and PicArt have registered their own store names and addresses. But; I did not register the store name and address of the name I will brand. Can't you make me reach the user who registered the store name and address at least?

Even if the store owner wanted to delete the store, they cannot...... As far as I know there is no way to completely get rid of a store. The owner can empty it, but it still exists.

This begs the question: If a person has an empty, unwanted store, would Zazzle allow them to transfer it to someone else? There are so many dead stores on Zazzle, and it would be nice if people could list their dead stores and other people could have them.

It also brings up another interesting question - what if someone uses your trademarked business name as their store name. That hasn't happened to me here, but it has happened on a variety of other sites.

The Zazzle Store address I will use for my trademark has been registered by someone else and is not used. I want the store address.

You just can't come in here and demand someone give up their name for your use! You definitely can't tell Zazzle to delete a store that is not yours! You have no idea if it is in use or not! It could be a private store that is very much in use! Your best bet is to come up with something else. That person got here first with the name and if you have no registered trademark then you are out of luck.

Can I request to get a registered brand address?

You don't do that here. This is a POD (Print On Demand) service. You need to do your research to learn about trademarks, copyright, etc

Zazzle doesn't register addresses in the way that you are thinking of.

Sure you can. But as Gina states you are unlikely to have success. If you want to write Zazzle customer service to find out where to properly make the request, you can try.

I empathize with you because I have had a few domain names swiped on me before. I've done the class hyphen method. ie. www .my-business .com as opposed to my and business non hyphenated. I don't know if you can do that here, but it might be worth the shot. (Using a hyphen)

But before going through all that trouble it might be worth checking that the name you want is available as a domain and that it is not taken across several social media platforms. If you can't get the domain and the name is taken elsewhere, it's time to rethink your brand name.

Hi all, this is not a technical issue so I am moving to "Your Zazzle Store". Thanks Smile

JB, I didn't know someone would be able to steal a domain name. When you register one, doesn't that preclude anyone from getting that name?

More that I started doing something without first purchasing the domain name. When I started, it was available, and when I was finally earning and wanted to get the domain, someone had bought it. It just forwarded to something that did not relate to the name. They wanted several hundred dollars to sell it.
