Setting for items missing in Collection or Category

Is there a setting on the back end to see if we have any products that didn't get added to a collection or category (one created by me).

It seems like both would be additions to the "Statistics" tab. At present I only have just under 150 items in my store. I can't imagine have a few hundred/couple thousand and them floating out there that got overlooked being included anywhere.

Or is it a moot point since they'll still get found in an overall search even if I didn't put them in one of my category creations or collections? Something tells me that's the case and it's just my occasional OCD tendencies kicking in!

If you fail to put something in one of your store categories, you might be able to find it in the "New Products" category in the backend.

As for collections, you'll probably have to check the individual products. If there's a way to see which products haven't been added to a collection, I haven't discovered it.
