My new store: No sales and few views 2 pages: 1 [2]

One more thing with regard to title / description / tags:

Any single product is like one little fish, swimming in a giant ocean full of billions of other fish. How will customers ever find your one little product among all the rest?

One of the ways customers find products is via search engines. What runs a search engine? A machine that can't see and knows absolutely nothing about your product that you don't tell it. Titles, descriptions, and tags are how you talk to that machine.

Thus, if you don't title, describe, and tag your designs in a way that coincides with the terms by which customers search, they will never even see them, much less buy them.

Hi Luke,

Just about your entire store is in violation. You cannot use celebrity names on your products, and each thing I saw was dedicated to someone by name.

Also, you need to work on your tags and descriptions.

There are hundreds of examples, as well as several tutorials in the forums.

You need to re-tag everything in your store. I know that sounds overwhelming but it can be done over time. Your products are currently invisible because they are tagged exclusively with tags that cusomers will not use as search terms, such as "zazzle".

The purpose of tags is to flag your design as something that matches what a customer is searching for. Consider the pillow you linked. It is a pillow that says MOM and is decorated with pink and red geometric patterns. There may be a customer who wants exactly that but can't find yours because none of their search terms will match your tags.

Here are some examples of types of tags:

-colors that appear in the design (in your pillow example, pink and red)

-what type of design it is (polka dot? pattern? damask? plaid? in the pillow example it is geometric and also abstract)

-perhaps it isn't a a type of design at all but rather is a picture of something (doesn't apply to your current designs but at some point you might use non-abstract designs such as dogs or landscapes in which case tag as such)

-who it is designed for specifically if that is relevant (in the case of your pillow, it is- mom, also mother)

-other nouns or adjectives that could apply to your design (for example minimalist or triangles)

Tags you should not use:

-zazzle (this is the whole store and can't lead to your product)

-the name of the product (that tag is automatically included by Zazzle and using it is a waste)

-customize or personalize (these tags are stripped out by Zazzle because they apply to pretty much everything Zazzle sells)

Also know that you can make multiple word tags by putting quotes around them such as "mothers day".

Your designs are good but unfortunately will remain invisible until they are retagged with tags that refer to the design.

Also know that when you are posting a product for sale, one of the options you can choose is what Zazzle categories it should go in for Events/Occasions and Recipient. For many products that isn't relevant but for a pillow that says Mom it certainly is. Clearly the Event/Occasion it should be slotted into is Mothers Day and the intended recipient to choose is mother.

Hope that helps.
