Collection in my name not store name
Posted: Thursday, July 18, 2019 7:16:50 AM
I was sharing a few things in the Show Me forum. I went to share a collection but I noticed it would be shared using my name instead of my design (store) name like the others sharing their collections.

The individual products I shared all have my design name. Is there a way to change the collections from my name to my design name?

Since Collections can be set to be viewed from within multiple stores (if one has multiple stores) they are associated with the account holder/designer name instead of a specific store name.

Well, that's annoying! Laughing

I had made sure it was set to my store (the one and only one I'll ever have) so it was driving me insane to figure it out.

Thanks, Colleen. Smile

Only as a manual process of editing the code for the post after you paste it into the editing window.

If you don’t want them to use your name, go to your profile settings and change it to what you want displayed. It uses whatever you put in the name field in your profile.

Thanks, Fuzzy and Maz.

I actually did start to just change it in the BBC code, so guess I'll just do that. I'm okay with my name being associated with my design name since it is me, after all lol. I have used Lavender Mint Graphics for so long that seeing my real name is still a bit odd when it's "out there". Smile

There's a semi-recent thread around here about store names & "branding". It makes a very good point about keeping your name/logo consistent across your web presence in order to establish brand recognition. If you have been using Lavender Mint Graphics for a long time, that says you already have other established endeavors out there. If it were me, I would change my profile name to Lavender Mint Graphics so that anything you share carries that brand recognition factor (without you having to manually edit it each time).
