Classifying products-2 questions-can anyone help
Posted: Saturday, February 09, 2019 9:25:13 AM
I am trying to find opinions on 2 questions I have. Maybe someone can give me their opinion.

1) When creating a product in my business card shop, I have always put the recipient as "anyone", unless of course it is something specifically named in the list of options. I am wondering if I should be putting "customer" instead. In other wards, should I see the buyer as the recipient, or the buyers custmer as the recipient?

2) When I create promotional items to go with my business card branding and matching materials, I take things like totes and stickers and list them as "marketing materials" so they stay listed in the business realm rather than accessories or crafts, etc. I am wondering if they get found better that way?
Can someone give me their opinion on that? Zazzle does not offer some of the products as listed in small business supplies.

In answer to your first question if you are targeting an audience that is going to resell or give away the cards then maybe choosing customer would be the best choice. Ie: in situations like gift cards, loyalty cards or referral card for instance.

Otherwise if it was me, I would continue to choose anybody. Some designers don't even choose any recipient at all. But I always choose something on the off chance that it might help in search results even though I am not sure it does.

Thanks Shelly!! I usually put promo products under "marketing materials" when they don't fit. At the beginning of the paper breakout they had a window that said make suggestion for categoires, but that does not come up now. Where is the option to make a suggestion?

when you are on the publishing page under the marketplace department section click the blue link that says "change" and another link pops in "browse all departments" click that and then click the drop down menu and choose "other" which will bring up a dialog box for your suggestion.
