Year Planner
Posted: Friday, January 04, 2019 2:16:20 AM
Last year Zazzle news published a planning schedule for the entire year at the beginning of the year. I was looking for it later and then it had disappeared. It was very helpful to know when to start designing and when to start promoting for the different holidays and occasions in the year. Can this please be republished? Thanks!

Hi Anne,

We will be updating the planning schedule with the new dates soon and will publish it on the Zazzle blog, as well as in the forums.

In the meantime, we recommend to focus your designing and promoting efforts on Valentine's Day.

Hope this helps.

From what I could gather it is producing two month ahead and promoting a fortnight before. This in mind you can make a schedule of your own and use wikipedia to extend the calender with birthstones, monthly flowers, Saints, famous birthdays etc. Aside from a slightly late start on Valentine you start to produce for the Month of March in January.

That would be creating mainly Easter stuff and preparing for a Valentine Promotion.

If you have something related to January 19, Shabbat Shirah, you could rush a promotion for the Shabbat.

And Martin Luther King Day is in January, so there could be a rushed promo.
Here is February where you can check if you have something in your portfolio that fits the bill and could benefit from a little promo on social media.

Happy Planning

Another planning recourse are the year-pages on wikipedia. Go back 25, 50, 75,100, 150, 200, 250, ... etc years back and see what sparks ideas like

this one:
May 29th, 1919 - Einstein's theory of general relativity is tested by Arthur Eddington's observation of the "bending of light" during a total solar eclipse in Príncipe, and by Andrew Crommelin in Sobral, Ceará, Brazil (confirmed November 19).
June 4th, 1919 – Women's rights: The United States Congress approves the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which would guarantee suffrage to women, and sends it to the states for ratification

As for Brexit in March 2019 25 years ago in
1994 the following events are of interest:
November 13th, 1994
- Voters in Sweden decide to join the European Union in a referendum.
- The first passengers travel through the Channel Tunnel.
November 28th, 1994 – Voters in Norway decide not to join the European Union in a referendum.

and so on ...
