New Zazzle Home Page Look 2 pages: 1 [2]

The new home page is leaps ahead of what it was. My biggest problem with how it used to be was that navigation was a jumbled mess. It's now far neater and easier.

I did find one area that needs filling out, an area I looked at because, yesterday, I couldn't find the lighters but eventually found them in Home > Kitchen & Dining > Barware & Bar Tools, which doesn't make sense. How would a customer navigating to the page for "home" products even think to click on "kitchen & dining," and once there, think to click on a bottle opener to find lighters? How is a lighter related to booze?

Anyway, there are likely other departments that might also need to be fleshed out in the menu system.

Other than the above, I truly like the new setup. I'm not a fan of blue, but that's a personal thing. No matter the color chosen, there will always be those who prefer other colors.

EDIT: The bars indicating a menu would have gone unnoticed had they not been pointed out here in the forum. I think the word "Menu" would take up no more space than three unlabeled lines that look like they're simply a part of the Zazzle logo.

I agree. I would not have noticed the 3 bars. Menu would be an improvement. Still, I am thrilled that the search box text has been fixed.

3 dots/lines is pretty much a generic symbol for menu. What would be nice would be a mouse hover over feature to show the menu feature without opening.

It may be a generic symbol for smart phones, but it isn't elsewhere. Given that I don't own a smart phone and I know many others who don't, and given that I personally haven't seen those lines on the various sites where I shop, I'd say maybe the safer thing is to replace the three unlabeled lines with "Menu." Or at the very least, have a "tool tip" pop up for the unaware shopper who just happens to wander up to the logo.
