Customer is asking if Zazzle logo can be removed from folded card
Posted: Wednesday, May 29, 2019 9:22:04 PM
So, a potential customer is asking if the large Zazzle logo on the back of 'folded invitation' can be removed. I checked the editor and that area itself is beyond editing, and we can add design elements only on the top half area which looks weird.

Any ideas if it can be actually removed or not?

Can Zazzle let us add design to the entire backside with Zazzle logo being optional there? Is that possible?

Could any Zazzle employees/admins answer this please?

Thanks!

-.-

Probably depends on the order and the customer will have to request this directly from zazzle.

You can sell a sticker parallel to the card to cover the logo.

oooooo that's a good idea!
Not sure if customer would want to buy extra stickers just to cover up the logo but interesting idea nonetheless!

Thanks!

Hi! Smile Sorry, but it seems this logo cannot be removed from the folded invitations. I have noted your suggestion however and passed it on, thank you!

Pretty pretty please with sugar (or splenda or coconut sugar or your sweetener of choice ;)
give us the option to remove that logo on the back of folded cards and let us design the entire surface just like we can on basically everything else.
... as well as the entire backside of the foiled cards would be great too.

Count me as another designer who would like the ability to design the entire back surface of the greeting cards. It honestly makes no sense that it's not allowed.

Yes, me too!

Hi all, I am happy to bump this inquiry once again. We appreciate your feedback but I cannot say if this will be implemented in the future Smile

Thank you Padie!

Still chomping at the bit over here for the logo to be removable and a full print area on the backside of folded cards. I've been holding off on entire product concepts because they are "impossible" / not professional-looking / harder to sell with that logo stuck on the back. Smile

Thanks!

You're welcome, I understand your issue with the logo. Fingers crossed Smile

I received a negative comment from a customer who loved a thank you card design, but would not use them because of the Zazzle logo on the back. She threw them out. She bought several coordinating pieces and used the others and left glowing reviews. Therefore I would also like to be able to remove the logo.

Does every last one of the folded cards have the logo? Even wedding invitations?

Wedding invitations are usually made with flat cards not folded cards.

With the new paper beakout, you have to use the card in the proper category. It won't show up in the right listings, if you don't.

I just checked, and the folded cards in the wedding category all have the logo on them. I didn't look at the flat cards because I'm kind of old school, which doesn't matter since I'm an utter failure at wedding designs.

Yep, all the folded cards in the wedding and celebrations categories (including the folded program template) have a fixed logo on the back and a limited design area as well.

The flat cards do not have a fixed Zazzle logo or any design area restrictions, nor do business cards.
The foil cards have a slightly restricted design area on the back, and I can't remember if there is a logo on the template to start with, but it is removable.
The newer tri-fold cards have a removable Z logo, and a mostly unrestricted design space except for a strip at the bottom backside.
Postcards have a removable template on the back that I believe starts with a logo.

As a theoretical purchaser of wedding items on a folded card, I'd personally not choose a folded wedding invitation, thank you note, or program with a big logo and restricted design area on the back.
As a designer, I've not designed many of those items here because of the permanent logo that I'm trying to patiently wait to become removable Smile
It's just not really industry standard to have custom/semi-custom day-of wedding items with a printer's logo on them. Most independent wedding designers with boutique custom designs don't even print their logo on their customer's orders, unless it's been discussed beforehand and the client "opts-in" to the idea or asks for it.

We're all used to a company logo on the backs of birthday cards, Christmas cards, note cards, etc., but it's tacky on formal wedding stationery. It's an ad for the company, which doesn't suit the occasion at all.

I don't have skin in the game, but I still think Zazzle ought to take a hard look at folded cards in the wedding category.

Unfortunately, the logo on the back of folded invitations is a show-stopper for me. I'm trying to print some items for my business and the ZAZZLE logo on the back makes it look cheap & tacky. I hate that you're losing customers over such a small (and misguided) marketing decision.

I would like to add my two cents to wanting that logo be made removable on the backs of the folded cards, wedding or otherwise.

Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but on folded greeting cards I expect and like to have a blank back with the designer's/printer's brand logo and info text on it. To me, this gives the card a more premium, branded look and distinguishes it from a cheap dollar or Chinese store mass product you buy in bulk for a few bucks.

Custom cards for businesses, weddings, and funerals are a different story, of course. In these cases, you want no logo nor other external text and/or ads on the back.

I personally would like the Zazzle logo being removable. I also don't lock my own one, so customers can remove it within the designer, if they wish to. Customer's happiness = my happiness.

The remove option for a small surcharge on the trifold cards is a viable path, even if it's a bit pointless to me, considering the cards not being that cheap.
