Back end Products tab is useless

First off, if you click the Products tab, it goes to Saved Designs, which isn't where most people are expecting to go. But it gets worse: Choose "products" in the dropdown, and it claims you have no products at all. The only way to get to all your products is by using the dropdown up by your icon.

What the devil?

I got lost in some weird place like that once. I think it's when you click your icon next to the shopping cart first. Don't actually click it. Instead just hover over it and select your Store from the drop-down menu. Once in your Store then select Products. It definitely needs to be more consistent.

I've been bookmarking a lot of areas because I'm sick of clicking.

Especially for when I get logged out every few hours for no reason. I haven't closed my browser, I'm still working here, why do I get logged...

Sad

Were you in your member profile instead of your store? If in store then must have been a glitch from them tweaking stuff.

I'm going to have to play with this to find a consistent way of knowing exactly who I am and where I am at all times. I'd laugh at such a strange puzzle if it weren't so darned frustrating. Every single screen looks like every other screen. Am I at the front end or the back end? That's the biggest problem, and that danged "Go to Store" button implies the exact opposite of what it really means. Sigh.

+1. Very confusing and easy to get lost.

I was having a similar problem in the storefront. I was switching departments and categories from the drop down and it kept taking me to the backend products section. The navigating is confusing, feels like I'm going around in circles, too much clicking. We dont need a banner in the back. Too much frou frou going on. Also, I miss the categories on the left side in the storefront, its just extra clicking the way it is now.

Sometimes I see it and sometimes I don't, but to tell you the truth, I'm not at all sure where I am at the time.

We're all going to end up with repetitive stress problems from all this clicking.

I noticed this. I deleted all my saved products. After all they are mostly trash i.e Design experiments which didn't quite work. I don't know why I'd want the trash can at the top of my profile other than I suppose it reminds me to delete this stuff more often.

I thought I was going nuts when I created a collection within my store, from a product. Only to find out, it wouldn't show up in my store. I realized later it was floating around in my account. [Doh!] I needed to edit it under my account, to add the store location. Shocked

I've amused myself with the vision of a machine that's set in front of me, and my job isn't to use the machine but to figure out what it actually does.

I feel the same. I also worry that if it is this confusing to us what will the shopping experience be for the casual online shopper? It it proves too convoluted, I don't think the shopper will be willing to spend time trying to figure it out. We do because we have a vested interest in doing so. I have liked some of the new changes but if I had to rate it overall, at this point, I would not give it high marks . I think both the designing aspect and the shopping experience was much simpler before. Simpler usually equates with "customer friendly" or "user friendly" in my book and should be a goal here at Zazzle. I personally think that is more important than collections and videos (yes I am of a "mature" age) . I like to approach things in this manner: "if it's not broke, don't fix it." Having said that, it is not our show to run and we must go along with the program, as they say. But I do think sharing our thoughts is a good thing and might even affect some "re-tooling", if you will. At the very least, it helps to know others are also feeling similar feelings.

I truly like the tab setup. The problem with it is that it appears Zazzle hasn't as yet streamlined how it functions. I assume that, if we see it as being currently awkward, they'll see this too.

I still don't get the point of the media. It's glitzy (def: flashy and superficial without purpose). As far as I can tell, it takes up space that might be better used for something else--such as visual breathing room.
