I can't the art view to display. When I try even the image view completely disappears.

I'm trying to use the slip-on.

Is it me or are these shoes tough to create? When I choose inside right using the views (without the mirror option checked) the image is added to the outside right. In fact, if I try to use the Design Area drop down, I can't find the inside for the right or left shoe.

Same here. I can adjust the outside image, but not the inside. I can't select the inside panel either by clicking on the image showing it or by the dropdown menu, which says I'm on the outside, but only gives me the option to change to the outside or the tongue. Does the mirroring thing work between sides of the same shoe as well as between the left shoe and the right?

Until I can figure out how to specify which part of the shoe I'm designing on, I'm stuck with using only abstracts that don't care about placement and hope they land some way that looks OK.

I am finding them difficult. I can't add anything to the right side at all. The Design Area dropdown only gives me two choices, both for Left, and Mirroring still doesn't put anything on the right. I am feeling like a dunce right now!

Use the top-down views to add stuff to both sides. You have to hunt and peck to find where certain design areas become active. Quite a bit unintuitive.

Yeah it´s a bit confusing at first. You need to pick a size in order to be able to design all parts. And it depends on the view you choose, which part you can design on.

Art view works fine for me.

It would be great if the image could be placed at the same size on all parts of the shoe. I don´t understand why so many products are like that.

And it would be helpful if we could have a shot that shows the tongue without laces.

Love the mirror option!

I will get the hang of these! lol I refuse to be kicked by these shoes! Laughing

The only way I managed to do it was use a tiled plaid design on all parts (when I found them) except for the back, which is torture to try to line up when using plaid.

Very, VERY confusing!

The pair I am fixing to post is a plaid design. I got the back to line up by sizing up and then holding down CTRL while moving into desired spot. It isn't perfect but is better than what it was lol - The top of the back gives me issue.

I don't get the gist of this 'interchangeable' option. Each pair comes with soles, and for all three shoe types the soles are the same, and just plain white. Now if one could buy different colors of soles, and soles and tops separately THEN the 'interchangeable' part would make sense to me. Right now it's just three different types of shoes which we can put our designs on. Or am I missing something here?

Update: I went to check the Zipz Shoes store and there one can order complete shoes or just the tops without the soles. In that case the 'interchangeable' statement is valid. Are we going to have that option at Zazzle as well? Because otherwise there's nothing interchangeable going on with the ones we design over here.

Gina, I gave up on the back. After getting the plaid the correct size, if I nudged it up to match, it didn't match on the bottom and vice versa. I figured the back should be white to match the toe. That's what I told myself anyway.

I've only tried the high top and at least for me, it seems when I try and add an image onto the left inside it gets placed on the outside. Maybe I'm doing something incorrectly???

It comes out sort of odd, mismatched here and there, but I convinced myself no one will notice when feet are in motion lol

Based on a tip above, did you choose a size first? When I chose a size I could put the image where I wanted it instead of it going where I already had one.

Yeah would be nice if you could buy just the tops, incase you got a pair already. But maybe they will add that option eventually?

The back is tricky, lol. I guess leaving it white works, or choosing a solid matching color. Same goes for the tongue, especially since there is no preview which shows it properly lol.

But they are still fun to design :-)

Shipping costs are insane tho! :-(((

When I view Low Tops in Pair mode, the Left Tongue appears white even though I have added an image. Is that a glitch? One that will go away? Will it push customers away thinking the shoe isn't complete?

I just tried how this would go when making the left and right shoe separately and then looking at the 'pair' image. Same thing happens, the tongue of the right shoe stays white. Only when looking at top view, tongue will be showing the design.

Has anybody already made the slip-ons and succeeded to get the back of the shoe in order? If so, please explain how?
Posted: Friday, October 23, 2015 2:05:23 PM
I can't find how to design inside of slip-ons. Pointers, please?
Posted: Friday, October 23, 2015 2:08:16 PM
I can only find top and back on the slip-ons. Can´t we design on the sides of these?
Posted: Friday, October 23, 2015 2:16:18 PM
I was just coming here to ask the same thing about slip-ons. I can't design the sides either. Does anyone know if it's even an option? They're my favorite style of the three so I'm hoping so.
Posted: Friday, October 23, 2015 2:20:03 PM
If it isn't an option I will have to rethink if I want to add those.
Posted: Friday, October 23, 2015 2:35:26 PM
I could also only find the top and back of the slip ons. The rollout announcement says there are 6 design areas for slip ons, 3 per shoe so it ought to be there somewhere but I can't find it at all. I did some high tops and low tops succesfully so I assumed it would be the same but that is just missing.

I was beginning to think I misread that. So, hopefully, it is just glitching or the option wasn't added due to an innocent oversight and will rectified.
