There's a problem with the last product view. It's showing a big white seam where there should be none. I am not using a background image here. It's just blue from the background color picker. I hope a solid color background doesn't still leave a seam. If it doesn't, then this image needs to be fixed. This does not look very appealing to potential buyers. I wouldn't want to buy it if I thought there was a big white line down the middle.

Forest, I think that´s maybe to show were the seam in the design is.

Speaking of the seams...
I use seamless square patterns that I scale down, not fotos or designs that cover the whole design area. I don´t get why there has to be a seam for already tileable designs? Can´t a tiling pattern just tile across the whole roll?
Getting them to tile over the seam is almost impossible. Especially with no ability to zoom into the design view to see details on smaller patterns.

Well, I shouldn't have said "down the center" because it's actually the edge of the sheet. But I would have thought the point of the seam view was so we designers can be sure there is no seam. If they're going to add a white line to show where the edge is then it kind of defeats the purpose of showing how well it tiles.

I'd like to know if this is just an edge indicator or if the sheets really have a white edge. It still looks bad if the sheets have white edges. Any printer today should be capable of borderless printing so the edges should be covered on all sides.

I think it´s just the view, because if you go into the enlarged view, there is no white line.

And I figured tiling out, but it kinda sucks, because there are only like 3 pattern sizes that tile.So can´t scale it to look nice, have to scale it to tile instead :-( Oh well.

It also looks like the flat views are stretched and squashed. The images in my design above should be perfect circles, but they look like ovals instead. I hope that's wrong.
Posted: Saturday, October 25, 2014 9:35:22 AM
Same on my designs, I guess it´s just another sloppy product view.

I'm getting this ugly white seam down the middle of my new wrapping paper too. It's not appearing on the 'good' products (at least I'm assuming they're o.k. now if that seam doesn't show) so it must mean something. Can someone please clarify if this is meant to be there, even on a perfectly tiled wrapping paper, or it means there's something wrong? This is so confusing! For the record, I'm uploading a 2000x2000 pixels original tile - so have no idea why this line is there?

Hi everyone,

A few things to help clear up some questions we've seen around the forums about the updated wrapping paper:

- The "seam view" is improperly showing the white line at the moment - this white line does not reflect how the wrapping paper will actually work and we're fixing that now

- The flat views are being corrected as well

- There are 5 sizes of wrapping paper that we offer: 6’, 15’, 30’, 45’, 60’. The rolls over 15' are combinations of 15’ rolls. This has always been the case, we are just making this clear in our product description now.

- Seamlessness: The design will tile every 3 feet down the roll (either 6 feet or 15 feet). The seam view, once corrected, will show you what the edge should look like.

Hope that helps!

Best,
Liz

Liz,

Could you please tell us about the glossy paper option?
Have you seen the paper?
How glossy is it?
Because we had a few reviews about the other NOT being glossy at all.
I would like to know if it is really glossy and is it a high gloss?
Also, the paper that was hidden prior, will it all default to matte finish?

I am still not sure if the paper is cut into sections. Is the 6 ft roll a continuous 6 feet? Is the 15' roll continuous 15 feet? thanks

Quote:
30’ rolls ship as two 15’ rolls, 45' roll ship as three 15' rolls, 60' roll ship as four 15' rolls

That's from the product pages, so I would expect the 6' roll to be continuous.

so would I but from previous reviews of the older set up they were cut into sections and rolled onto the roll.

Posted: Tuesday, October 28, 2014 11:11:24 AM
But the info above says they ship in 15' rolls which I'm taking to mean sections...maybe they should change that to read 'ship as X 15' sections'
I think the info has been added to the page because buyers previously had been expecting a 30' roll to actually be a 30' roll, and not two 15' sections.

here are some reviews from the previous set up of wrapping paper, which is why i am questioning how it comes now. "The colors were beautiful, but I wasn't expecting it to come in 3 pieces. It was to wrap a very large box and we had to match up the stripes and tape it." "The pattern was what I expected, but when I ordered the 30' length to save a little money in the long term, I had expected it to come as one unbroken sheet. Instead, it was cut into several sheets all rolled together which made things slightly more difficult than they needed to be."

The first sentence of the wrapping paper description describes it as "photo gloss" regardless of which media option is chosen by the shopkeeper or customer. Yes, the bullet points change when the media is changed, but that first sentence still says "photo gloss." This is misleading and confusing and could lead to more returns.

Now the "roll corner" view on wrapping paper is showing a clipping mask from the old wrapping paper shape. It looks.... strange. And ungood when I am grabbing images to promo products. This just started in the last few minutes. Here's a screen grab from the zoom view of one I just made, but even my existing wrapping paper is showing like this.

I'm not seeing this on any wrapping paper - is this view still off for you?

Thanks!

Yes, it is on the zoomed in view of the "roll corner" after you click the "view a larger image" button.

Liz, it's not showing on the product page. It shows when you are on the product page, and click on the icon to view it larger.

Yep, that's where I was looking as well and can't reproduce. I'll send to the tech team just in case.

By golly gee willikers it is ;) Thanks! I guess we'll just have to remember to manually change it from matte to glossy. Or do most people prefer matte? Anybody know? Personally I'd buy glossy, but maybe I'm in the minority ... ?

I'm new here for the most part and I have a question about the wrapping paper. It's not available to me when I try to add it as a product. I click the wrapping paper link after going to create product and it says 0 and the link takes me back to the create product page. Just wondering why I can't add it?

Thanks!
