T-shirt quality? Basic vs Value?
Posted: Friday, January 31, 2020 4:24:06 AM
Hi everyone

I am looking to publish a set of designs on Zazzle and am confused about the price t-shirts available.

The value t-shirt is £16.55 and basic is £22.40, both being quite expensive.

To make my t-shirts more affordable, I am tempted to design on the value shirts.

Doe anyone have any feedback on the quality of value shirts? Worth it, or should I stick to basic?

Many Thanks

D

For what it's worth, no matter which shirt you add your design to, the customer can switch to another of the shirts, thus paying less or more.

I rarely sell value shirts. I try not to use that merch option.

I have bought them though. They are certainly "value" quality, meaning they are cheaply made. Washing them in bleach will basically ruin them. The necks tend to stretch out quickly. The material is not at all soft.

They have their purposes though. They are probably good for a summer beach trip, very thin material, but don't expect them to last very long. They would be good for giveaways and promotions and one time gatherings such as reunions or protests etc. One could frame or hang them as artwork.

It's been awhile since I have purchased a value shirt here so, they might have increased in quality, but I doubt it.

Thanks, Jerry. I will continue avoiding it.

Jerry, that's good to know. I haven't posted many, but I think I will change all the one's I've posted to something other than the basic one.

Note that Jerry was talking about the "value" shirt, not the "basic" one.

Thanks for the replies guys and for you awesome help Jerry.

I will avoid the value option, keeping in mind that customers can choose their own apparel too.

All the best. Smile
