From the News thread:

"And now with a GLITTER option! YES!! REAL GLITTER!

For all these new Presidio (Clear, Glitter, Pro) cases, we wanted to show the customer how the cases would look on different color iPhones, hence the numerous photographs. We hope you like seeing your designs ‘as close to real life as possible."

OK ... What am I missing? This just looks like the same ol' Speck to me. I see no options for glitter, etc.
Can someone point it out to me, please? Thanks!

I'm now seeing the glitter feature but only after selecting either iphone X, Xr, XS, XMax cases.

I think the photo could be better at showing off the glitter feature. Right now they just look like tiny specks and do not have the appearance of glitter or what one would perceive as glitter

All the new glitter case options only apply to the iPhone X and newer iPhone models. Older iPhone models will keep the black style case only.

Thanks! I never would found that since I don't cycle through the models.

They are not very glittery, or at least not in the preview images.

maybe they look better in person.

I hope so!

I only have 31 Speck cases, so I am changing over ones that I can. And I don't see any glitter or anything that grabs my attention and makes me say "OOH Glitter!!"

I know, I was hoping they would really be awesome because I have a high cancellation rate with my faux glitter Otterboxes (and other stuff too) and I think it is because they think it will be real glitter. but I might skip this one for now seeing as how I have sold 0 speck cases so far and also 0 iPhone X cases...

FYI, if you add glitter to the title of a glitter phone case, you still get the "simulated" and "no actual glitter" warning pop-up when you first land on the product page.

Zazzle has mentioned many times in their Zazzle chats and elsewhere that we really shouldn't put faux glitter in our designs, as it just doesn't print well.

I have sold a few iPhone X cases, so that motivates me to want to design more.

As far as the real glitter looking good in photos, it's really hard to capture. It would be great if they could provide a video of each case so that it can be turned and shown how pretty it really looks. I bet they look great in person! I've always been a big sucker for anything with glitter. I wish we could do cards with glitter. I'm always drawn to Christmas cards with glittery snow scenes because snow really does sparkle like glitter when the sun hits it.

I think Zazzle may have to fix that for these cases unless they all automatically come with glitter so that we don't have to mention it the titles, tags, and descriptions.

So, I was just checking to see how one of my designs looks on the glitter cases, and it looks like the glitter doesn't show on the design, but maybe the pic doesn't show it. Maybe someone from Zazzle could clarify as to whether or not our designs will have glitter showing on them.

The product description says the glitter is embedded in the plastic of the case. So our design would go on top of that. Therefore I have been using png designs with no background so the case will show through. The "show whites as transparent" option may also work.

Did Zazzle ever follow up on

Don’t Copy + Paste from Previous Models
Unlike with previous launches, we ask that you only design new content for these new cases. In the past, Zazzle transferred designs over to the new cases for all designers. Then two years ago, for many reasons, but mainly SEO, we decided that was not necessarily the best approach and stopped. Right now, we’re working on something that will be beneficial to Zazzle, as well as help designers save time and allow customers to choose from a huge selection of designs.

Why only new content? Because Zazzle has been working very hard to give you the ability to seamlessly transfer your designs to the latest models in a way that will help keep the marketplace uncluttered and the history of your products intact. We will let you know when this feature is launched.

My old designs are already in the marketplace on these new Specks, which is fantastic, though they're defaulting to the Presidio Glitter Silver one, which isn't necessarily my top choice.

In my experience I think it depends on the image and the final product. I have sold many faux glitter designs on lots of different products and the ones that get returned are fabric gifts like the totes, and tank top... (although the shoes didn't) But mugs and business cards sell over and over with no pink. In fact a lady just bought a refill of business cards with one of my faux glitter sparkly images on it and she also bought the card holder the first order.

also the Otterboxes that have sold with this one popular design 3 out of 7 went pink.

This sounds like they were hinting about bringing us the design transfer ability for the buyers to me... in hindsight at least that seems like what they were referring to.

never got an answer the following, and I'm still wondering what to do with the 'old' Speck cases. Can an admin please respond to this?

Does this new release of the Presidio Speck case mean that the Speck case that is still showing as 'Sorry, this Style is temporarily sold out. Please select another Device Type' is being replaced by the Presidio Pro? The 'Style' description is very similar. Or will the now out of stock Speck case return to the stage at some point?

Apologies for the delay. The Speck Presidio case has been discontinued and we'll be migrating designs on to the Presidio Pro. Once the designs have been migrated, we'll hide the old version from the site.
