Hi Guys,

Where do you put the hashtag? In the product tags, description or collection description??

Thanks.

Hi there,

In the product tags! Feel free to put it other places, but we'll be able to find everything in the product tags.

Thanks!
Monica

my question

"You will have to create a cohesive collection"

the main category is all stationery

the secondary category is non paper products

should the design be related or just the theme? like if it is halloween, then halloween for all... if it is christmas then christmas for both categories?

Thank you
Love
Maria

Hi Maria,

This is where your creativity comes into play! Designs DO NOT all have to matchy-matchy, but the collection should have some sort of cohesiveness in nature... how ever you decide to narrate that!

One tip is to look back at the blog and see what the winners of past design challenges did to get a better idea.

Best of luck!

Thanks,
Monica

Ok Thank You Smile

Hi Monica,

The # hashtag sign doesn't work in the product tags bc it's not a recognizable character. When I add it, it removes it when it adds the tag so it looks like this... holidayz rather than #holidayz.

I think it works anyway even without the actual hashtag symbol. Smile

Do zgroupon and holidayZ have to be separate tags or may they be added as one tag? A Collection only has 5, and two separate tags eats into our SEO.

Does the Royalty Rate on all products in either the list of products OR the Collection need to be 14.9 or lower?

I see that we're encouraged (required) to have the items be customizable (templates). Do that also apply to things like shirts and leggings? I have a design idea that takes off from something I recently added. However I don't see how adding it would work to add a template to a tshirt and/or leggings.

I noticed that the link to "folded cards" in the forum post goes to the newer, smaller folded tent cards. Do we have to use these specific ones (or the foil ones), or can we also use the larger 5x7 folded cards?

Further to this question, the Legal page says to use Holidayzfordayz and the announcement post says to use holidayZ.

Thanks for catching that! Let's go with #holidayZ. We will make the changes on the legal page

1. My sister and I both have themed stores under our names separately. However, we put designs in the stores where the design best fits. Obviously, MarBeth Holidays is probably the best fit long term for any of the entries from either of us. That store is in my sister's name. If I enter do I have to put my entry in one of my stores which are:

MarBeth Boutique
MarBeth Business
MarBeth Home Decor
MarBeth Urbanscapes
The MarBeth Gallery

Or can I put the design in MarBeth Holidays like I normally would?

2.I see no official one prize per person or family. While it is unlikely of anyone winning more than one prize, is there a limitation?

I'm wondering the same. I hope we can also use the 5x7 folded cards, cause those smaller tent cards sure are itty bitty tiny!

Edit: plus we don't have envelopes to sell with them.

I can't help wondering why we're having another contest when we STILL have not heard the outcome of the last contest. That is, The "triptych" contest that ended in June, the winner of which was supposed to be announced months ago. Not wating my time again. Do I hear crickets? JMO

Tent cards versus regular greeting cards?

Before I start transferring designs to actual products, I'd love to see the answer to this question, too.

Hi,

Sorry for responding late... answers below!

You can design on the 5x7 standard cards. You don't have to design on the size the link sends you to. ANY folded greeting card will do. Feel free to design envelopes to sell with them as well.

@MarBethHomeDecor No worries if you and your sister share store fronts, just make sure to differentiate your separate entries when you guys do the actual submission form. And unless both you sister and you are Zazzle employees, there is no limitation to which one you can join! Smile Good luck.

Just use holidayZ in your hashtag, change has already been made on the legal page. Thanks again for catching that.

Regarding customization, please do not feel the need to force it in your design if it doesn't make sense. We will be looking more at the customization elements for the folded cards vs the other elements. We understand that leggings and other similar products are a little harder to customize for. My suggestion is to make sure that your secondary products have some creative theme tied in with your primary products.

Let me know if I missed any questions below!

Excited to see your entries!

Thanks,
Monica

I created an entry for Orphan Black back in June. It's still in my "waiting for review" box. Before I enter another design, wondering who I might write to, to be sure I'm entering my designs correctly. Thanks for any help you can give!

I just created a design for the contest, but then I read it has to be new, never posted for sale, does that mean my new design cant be in the contest? I only posted it for sale today. do we wait til the contest is over to post for sale? I'd like to be able to share with my fans right away.

With 'never posted for sale', they mean never posted for sale before the contest started.

Hey!

Can we submit multiple collections or just one?

In the HolidayZ for DayZ Design Challenge Legal it says:

· Multiple entries are permitted but each collection base design must be unique.

Royalty rate requirements?

We recommend anywhere between 5-15%, but no royalty rate requirements for this contest.
