Page size (ps=) parameter in RSS feeds not working correctly 2 pages: [1] 2
Posted: Thursday, May 3, 2018 6:05:37 AM
RSS feeds using the page size parameter ( ps= ) are returning the wrong number of products

I request 1 with ps=1 and get back 17:
https://feed.zazzle.com/rss?qs=pilates&st=popularity&sd=desc&ps=1&pg=1&dp=&cg=&at=238582202591969585

I request 20 and get back 60
https://feed.zazzle.com/rss?qs=pilates&st=popularity&sd=desc&ps=20&pg=1&dp=&cg=&at=238582202591969585

I request 120 and get back 60
https://feed.zazzle.com/rss?qs=pilates&st=popularity&sd=desc&ps=120&pg=1&dp=&cg=&at=238582202591969585

Please confirm, if poss, that this is known about and being worked on - maybe as part of getting the previously reported problems using search terms in qs=

Thanks! Roses

It seems that the page number parameter is playing up as well Crying

Oh good lord. Pages on my affiliate site are now taking forever to load and scrolling to infinity. What a mess. May as well hang out the closed sign.

Any chance of an update on this pls? 6 weeks have passed since it was passed on to the tech team and many of us rely on it working for our affiliating efforts.

Thanks!

Any joy in your tracking-down efforts?

Just wondering if there are any updates or work arounds yet.

Historically when Zazzle breaks something it can take a year or more before they come back around to fixing it. My affiliate site has slowed to a crawl because of this but it's still sorta functional...for now. If they make anymore changes that end up completely crippling it then that's a much needed part of my income down the drain. Frustrating.

Some feedback on what's happening with this and the other feed issues would be hugely helpful.

Many of us are hanging back on promoting because of the broken marketplace pulling.

Just an observation, don't know if it helps find the problem. If I pull from the marketplace page size doesn't work, if I pull from a brand store it seems to work fine.

Here are a few links to working pages . . .

Marvel Comics

Disney
LooneyToons

If any links to specific designs pulled fron the market place paging doesn't work, I've checked my code for both options and nothing is different between them at my end so something at Zazzle's end is amiss.

Hi all --

I'm having the count problem as well.

But a bigger problem is the keyword no longer works, so my pages are no longer useful.

I also have a site where the feed is not working at all. Not sure why, as the code is identical.

Finding feed support is always a problem, so thanks for this discussion!

I just realized that this has been happening on my affiliate site too. There is no longer a page break, so the page goes on forever... and takes forever to load!

Is someone working on this?

Also, I'm using a Zstore builder plugin, and for some reason it is no longer pulling in all products for a keyword. For example, if I enter a keyword on Zazzle.com, it shows me over 8000 results, but only shows 55 items on my site.

Did something change to make this happen? It's happening on all of my keywords.

Any news?

What's the point to encourage us to promote affiliate sites, when things don't work properly?
We are waiting already several months for a fix to this problem. This kind of response only leaves us impression that Zazzle don't care about RSS feed promotion, and creating webpages to promote Zazzle products is not encouraged by Zazzle. This fault ruins the SEO of our pages, we loose credibility on Google indexes.
If this method is not encouraged, please confirm. So we wouldn't waste our time on promotion methods that are not supported by Zazzle.
I understand that Zazzle coders have a lot to do and their time is valuable. But so is our.
I'm really looking forward Zazzle official response about encouraged promotion methods.
Thank you!

This is essentially what I am experiencing, too. The keyword query no longer works properly, rendering all of my pages useless. Many times, the entire query just doesn't work, leaving an error message. My Google rankings have crashed the past few months -- for other reasons, too, of course, but having error messages and endlessly loading content makes for huge drops in rankings.

I agree with the sentiments here that we're feeling ignored. A shame since many here have been Zazzler's since the early days when Zazzle really needed us to build its user base. We did a lot of the heavy lifting in those years, but now that their traffic is solid, they no longer need us. Their rankings are in good shape, they can rely on cheaper traffic from Google SERPs. I get that. I also get that we were paid for our work -- I wouldn't have worked so hard without the commissions -- A fair arrangement. It just feels crappy to be hanging out in a forum waiting to be noticed, wondering what the current status of our relationship is. Seems we deserve better than this given we were part of the team that made Zazzle what it is today.

Should I just shut down my websites or should I wait for a fix?

Zazzle - Can we please get an update on this page break issue?

I've been paying for Google Ads, but not getting any sales because I don't think my pages are loading for anyone. We're losing a lot of money here Sad

+1 about using zstore builder & keywords not working, but only for general MP.

The keywords / pages work when I pull in products from my store using either keywords or productline id. However, I promote more from general MP which don't have cg #s. General MP pages display same page of items, throughout all pages.

I'll see what information I can find, but engineering is quite busy at the moment.

Does anyone have a temporary fix idea for the page break issue? My paycheck for this month is only 15% of what I made in January... so I'm feeling pretty discouraged right now without any functioning affiliate sites.

Between this and not having postage, I'm starting to feel like my days here are numbered Sad

This is heartbreaking after having such a successful 11 years with Zazzle.

I miss the days when affiliates felt supported.

I can't find anything on postage stamps being discontinued, is this a permanent thing?

There are several threads about postage being discontinued. See, for example, this Announcement: https://forum.zazzle.com/news/zazzle_custom_postage_update

Please keep this thread relevant to the topic it was made for Smile

Edit: Stamps are no longer with us at the moment, if this ever changes we will be sure to post an update in the news section of our forums Grin

P.s.: Apologies for the inaccessible link! Shocked

Welcome, David!

The link to which you refer is to one of the Pro boards and Tina wouldn't/doesn't have access. In fact, I've been denied access.

Bumping this.

The ps issue in Mark's OP is an RSS feed issue and needs to be resolved for affiliate sites like ours to be of any use to customers.
