How to do Photo Collages??
Posted: Thursday, January 10, 2019 3:11:59 AM
I spent the hiatus trying to learn how to create a collage but now I am stumped because I don't know how to keep customer photos from showing outside the frame elements of the design.

I have a background element that I have added transparent frames over but mentally I am doubting that customers will be able to add their photos without them showing outside the frames.

If I publish as I have it currently designed will designating each image option as fit or fill prevent the customers image from exceeding the boundary of my place holder image? Or am I totally screwed up over how I should be designing this collage?

Thanks for any info that can help me over my creative impasse.

Hi
I always use 'fill' for each photo, so that should be all you have to do.
You could also test it yourself....when you have clicked 'done,' try changing a photo yourself, to make sure you are happy with the 'fill' option.

In the past I might have done that but a recent report of at least one direct only product ending up in the MP I have been hesitant.

I don't want to risk that happening if the product design is faulty.

You have about 24 hours to play with it (usually)before it hits the MP and then there is the option of setting it to hidden so that it won't be seen until you are confident you have the bugs worked out.

I would think that the fill option should work well, as it would ensure that the customer's photo fills the entire space where your placeholder photo is. It shouldn't exceed the boundaries.
