Bye bye haunted Halloween party paper cups?

Put the stuff together for a spooky Halloween party set and couldn't find the paper cups anymore. Not in searches, not in party supplies, not in kitchen drink ware... they disappeared *PUFF*

Am I getting old and blind or have they been definitely discontinued?

They are still in the Create Your Own menu but with the note that they are Completely Sold Out. Presumably they've been hidden in the MP until that changes. That apparently means hiding them in the department tree too.

I am actually glad they're doing this. In the past I've been annoyed to see things prominently featured that are out of stock. It looks bad for the customers too. Better they not even know it exists until it comes back in stock.

I have found that out of stock things do persist in the Create Your Own menu (unlike discontinued things) so that's a reliable place to find out if they are discontinued or merely out of stock.

Thanks for the hint. I agree, it's better not to show permanently out of stock items to the public. I knew they were oos some time ago and wanted to check if I were lucky, but couldn't find them. Too bad, they complement the paper plates and tearaway mats perfectly. A bit disappointed about the paper napkins, it's a shame you can design only a square on the front, and not even full bleed. Oh well, we can't have all. Thanks again!

I'm bummed out about paper cups being permanently oos. Does that mean they aren't coming back at all? Or is Zazzle going to see if they can get them from a different company? Yes, they are a good complement to paper plates and napkins.

That's NOT what it says.

It says "Completely Sold Out", not Permanently Discontinued.

This is how rumors get pushed around. The details are important.

There is a HUGE difference between Out of Stock and Discontinued. They do NOT BOTH mean the same thing.

I'm not picking on one person, everyone seems to jump on that. I guess designers are hiding and unhiding products from the public. But OOS does NOT mean never coming back. It means out of stock.

I think one of the mods discussed this in an earlier thread this year. Maybe someone remembers WHICH thread it's in... lol

I miss them. Just an FYI here. I have been looking for Christmas themed napkins locally and have not been able to find them. Dollar General has two different ones that are not very appealing. Dollar Tree has none. Walmart had none.I went to a store one town overcalled, Here Today. None there either. I used to buy them at Tuesday Morning. but it was not where it used to be. Found out they had moved across town. But since it is Monday morning they are not open today.I suppose Hallmark might have some but I didn't go there. In looking for napkins I also noticed that what few paper cups, cups, tissue and wrapping paper they have are mostly solid colors or a few birthday ones with rather generic birthday designs on them. It is sad that Zazzle has not been able to replace paper cups. I have sold more paper cups than I have sold the other paper products that matches them. I guess people looking for party supplies, might buy our designs and settle for plain paper cups for their parties, but I am sure a matching cup would up sales somewhat.

We’re working closely with the maker to bring it back, but at this point, it might not be until next year. We’re just as excited to bring it back as you guys are. Stay tuned

I guess I worded that wrong. I shouldn't have used the word "permanently". I meant just OOS (out of stock), although they've been OOS for so long that it seems permanent. Like the shoes. Sure wish they would come back. They've been OOS since last November, before I started with Z. I designed 3 but stopped after that as it seemed like maybe they wouldn't come back, and I figured it was better to spend my time designing things that were actually in stock".

Christine, thanks for the update. I'm sure you guys want to see them come back, as I'm thinking they were probably great sellers.

Any news on the return of paper cups?

.

I still create paper cups, and I don't hide them. They compliment a party set and it just is odd when it is missing. Though I am a little bummed that it takes so long to get paper cups stocked up again.

I'm looking forward to their return. I've sold some before, and probably would have sold more to go along with the paper plates that I've sold.
