My Domain Store is still 'Unavailable'

The last post I saw in the forum, regarding an upgrade the Zazzle team was doing, (that killed private domain store feeds), was that they hoped to have it done within 24 hours. That was yesterday at 10 am. My store on my domain is still reading "Error: Products temporarily unavailable" and I'm not seeing any new information regarding this.

Are the Zazzle team still working on this? Will my domain store automatically restart, or do I have to amend some coding?

Thanks for the post. We are still working on the feeds issue. They may not be fully restored for 3 or 4 more days. We apologize for the inconvenience.

You do not need to make any changes to your website.

Thank you for the reply and update. Sorry for being so fidgety about it. I just started the store on my domain and promoting it. My timing is off as usual lol

Wishing you speedy work and resolution, and a great weekend ;-)

Hello - we made some progress on feeds tonight.

These feed-centric stores are working, but ones with redirects are still not functional. We'll get that addressed soon.

We'll update the thread when we fix the remaining redirected feeds.

The paperdinsaur.com says it's using ZSB version 1.5, there is a readme file too that contains info about ver1.5 features. but in Zazzle developer tools there is still ver 1.02, Please give us a link to download the latest version.

It looks like you can download ZSB 1.5 here:
http://www.paperdinosaur.com/zsbb/

I don't see it on the other ZSB page, still showing the old version (http://www.zazzle.com/sell/affiliates/promotionaltools/zazzlestore).

Regarding the feeds being down, if you remove the "product type" portion of the URL (e.g. "PT=" ) then it will function except you won't be getting particular product types. That is inconvenient, but at least it is somewhat functional there. I did it on Friday so as to avoid as many Google issues as possible.

I don't really get this, the 1.5 was copyrighted in 2008. Wonder why it isn't in the download link? I would have thought 4 years was long enough to test the beta system. Maybe I've missed something.

The 1.5 does look really good though with quite a few problems sorted.

For the moment, at least until Zazzle's feed is more stable and their glitches sorted, think I'll stick to the code I have, otherwise things could get messy.

Can anybody confirm that this is for real? It's not encouraging that it's not hosted at Zazzle's site. But... local product pages!

I too am sticking with the official code, but the site I linked to is showing the registrant as Ed Caggiani, who is a "User Experience Designer at Zazzle.com".

The code looks pretty clean, but until it is officially linked from the Zazzle site, I wouldn't recommend using it unless you are well versed in verifying the code. :-)

Yes, the Paperdinosaur site is mine, and ZSB v1.5 is my updated version with lots of new features. We haven't released it officially on Zazzle only because we'd like to get the international feeds incorporated and that seems to always be a sticking point.

But feel free to use v1.5...many people do and have no issues :-)

Thanks for the offer - this version looks great.

That would be brilliant to get a UK feed up and running, I know that having to pay in $'s puts some off. It's a 'conditioning' thing.

I'm going to install it on a new site.

Thanks again.

FYI, for those with feed issues who are filtering by product type, here is a fix:

Thanks for the confirmation on that; I may give it a try. I did get less excited when I realized that personalization wouldn't work on the self-hosted product pages. They end up as an intermediate step for the customer, who just has to click through to yet another page.

I had slightly more luck when I used PHP to read in a Zazzle product page, then modify it and display it on through own server. Quite a lot of the functionality worked. Unfortunately that wasn't quite enough Smile.
