I found this info on Facebook after an exhaustive search

From Sergio Andreu:

Hi Everybody,

I see this is a topic that comes every couple of days. In order to install Static Fbml into your page, you need to be administrator. Once being admin, you can go to the static fmbl application and click on "add to my page", from there, you select the page you want to add.

So add yourself as an administrator and then you will be able to add FBML to your page and edit it.

Hmm, ok. Did it work for you after you did that? I don't remember having to add myself as admin., but maybe that's one of things they changed recently.

Actually, no that didn't work either. I don't know why that was suggested, since the creator of a page is automatically its administrator. So I am the administrator by default yet I still don't have the option to "add to my page" only "add to my favorites page".

I Googled to find out more and I found this site that shows that there are several people with the same problem.

Is your's a business page, fan page or personal profile Linda?

Mine is a fan page.

I have a personal page also, but the static FBML is not on that one. I do have the merch thing on both pages, but I wasn't happy that it only showed four products, which I couldn't even decide which four were shown. That's why I went with the other way, using the static FBML page.
(Hope that wasnt' confusing.)

That link didn't work for me.

I and others with the same problem finally know why we couldn't add the FBML App. Despite FB comments stating otherwise, Business Page owners cannot add Apps to their page. If their help section and FAQ's had not repeatedly stated that the FBML App is only for Business and Fan pages and can't be used for personal profiles, then I wouldn't have been racking my brain for nothing. I created a business page for this reason alone.

Thanks for your replies Linda. Smile

Oh goodness, so did you create a fan page and did the FBML work for you?
I thought the "business" page and the "fan" page were the same thing.

Side note-About a week ago, I noticed on my profile page friend's list that there were 3 pages listed for me and I know I only have 2, as I said above. I clicked on the one where my profile pic was old and there was no content. I could not figure out how it got there or how to delete it. So, I left it there and yesterday, it has disappeared! Strange things happen at FB.Shocked
They keep changing things, so I don't know.

Also, through no doing of my own, on my fan page, I now have X number of friends and XX number of fans, but they are the same people. I used to have just X.

Anyway, hope you get it all set up.

I put up the MB on my profile, only managed to do it on "boxes" - and the pics of the products are of totally inferior quality. Pixel blur.
Also I don't know how to change the products shown...

Swagstation Team, I am curious to know if you've added the ability for us to add our own Zazzle referral code to the Facebook app. yet.
Thanks.
EDIT: woops, nevermind. Just re-read your post and saw the information on the referrals. I'm going to try this app out, looks great!
