Just found out yahoo just made a lot of changes referencing register globals and include's statements on Oct.1.

Has anyone that uses yahoo seen any difference's in their store builder sites or setups?

Yahoo is going through some type of change.

there is a yellow icon next to my email (yahoo account) inbox to be clicked on to 'activate my profile' for some 'enhanced' changes to yahoo mail - I ain't click'n it Happy

as a follow-up -- Yahoo is up to some sneaky business - they are trying to get the email members to click on a link to activate 'enhanced' services -- these 'services' have caused issues for other people (enabling chat sessions) -- of which the members could not remove from their account after being activated.

They initiated a security fix on their servers for people that have hosted sites with them, that excludes the ability to use "include" statements wich affects a lot of content management systems and free standing php scripts.

They claim they announced it, but ive had several dozen people contact us and have no idea the change was coming.

Interesting. I'm hosted with Yahoo, and my main site uses the standard Server Side Include syntax ("<!--#include file="standardheader.htm" -->"). As of this morning, they are working fine. Maybe there's some other kind of "include" you're referring to?

A lot of people and systems use closed loop includes wich should still work fine, but anyone that has just used basic include ".page.html"; type setups would get the errors.

If your running closed includes meaning like, include once, or require once you should be ok.

I personally dont use Yahoo as I run my own hosting platform, but was just wanting to give anyone else a heads up, since we have had so many people talking about it lately.(heck its good for my business when they do things like this)
