Effective Promotional Tool
Zazzle Sellers are always looking for the most effective ways to promote products. You create blogs, squidoo lenses, Facebook and twitter posts, and so much more. Over at Zazzle, we have done some research into effective ways for sellers to promote products on Zazzle (both their own and general marketplace products) and have found that one useful thing to do is to create Facebook Pages for various niches.
What to Do:1. Choose a search phrase (keyword) with between 3-5 words in it relating to any niche, theme, occasion, etc. that you’d like. For example, some ideas would be:
• “Monogram Damask Wedding Invitations”
• “Cute English Terrier Calendars”
• “Pink Striped iPhone Cases”
• “Elegant Girl Baby Shower Invitations”
• “Vintage Save the Date Postcards”
2. Create a Facebook Page by clicking on “Pages” on the left navigation and then clicking the “+ Create a Page” button. You will probably want to select “Brand or Product” for type of page, but it is up to you. Make sure the title contains your chosen search phrase.
3. Add a picture, “about” information, and a link to the relevant Zazzle search results page with you referral ID. For example, if you were creating a page for “Monogram Damask Wedding Invitations” you would link to
http://www.zazzle.com/monogram+damask+wedding+invitations?rf=11111111111111111111 4. Add content! This is pretty much up to you. Treat this like a blog or a squidoo lens. You can add images, links, posts on promos or specials, new content, etc. Have fun with your page!
5. Link to your new Facebook Page from other blogs, websites, squidoos, pinterest boards, etc. It is best if you use anchor text that is your exact keyword or something very similar.
How to Select a Keyword:
• Use the
Google Adwords tool to help you
• Look at the tags for popular products on Zazzle and combine a few tags making sure that you include the product type (t-shirts, invitations, cases, mugs, etc
• Perform some Google searches for topics that you are interested in and see what words other people are using to describe that topic. You can make a list and then put those into the Google Adwords tool to help you out even more.
• Remember… the more competitive the keyword is, the harder it will be to have your page rank for that keyword!
Next Steps:
To check if you are ranking in Google for your chosen search phrase, use the
Google Rank Checker Tool. Feel free to create as many pages as you’d like for different search terms and watch the earnings roll in!
Enjoy!
