It took me all afternoon to put this together. Is it okay or have I made any typical newbie mistakes?

Thanks

I think it looks great. How in the world did you get those boxes like that to customize?

I have to have the people go in the regular customize box and do it.

Yes, I did find all that template stuff a bit confusing, and I'm certainly no expert, so someone might be able to explain it a lot better than me, but here goes....

Open the 'advanced options' drop down menu bit you have every time you add an image or text to a product you are making. When it's text the advanced options tab is just under the set of arrows.

In the drop down menu click on 'make this a template object'. The text you type into the field opposite the words 'Product Page Label' will be the text that appears above the field into which your customers will type their own text. So for instance I typed in 'Your text here'.

To be honest I don't know what the URL parameter name bit is, and I always just leave that. Maybe someone more experienced with templates can clarify that one!

Hope this helps.

aw, that's really sweet. cute and simple. I like how it looks like the people are standing in between some snowmen when you add in a picture.
