Hi folks,

The team has been hard at work over the past several weeks and we're excited to offer you new tools for getting your products more visibility and sales. I'm sure many of you have read about our partnership with MySpace and you can create a Merch Booth for sharing your products on your MySpace page.

We've also created a Facebook Application, My Merch Store, that lets you post your products onto Facebook to share with your friends. In addition, you can easily spotlight other designers and showcase products from other Zazzle artists. Your friends can show their support by adding the app and showing your products on their profile. Whenever your products are purchased, you receive the normal royalty. In addition, you can enter your Zazzle username and password on the setting page in the app and receive a referral payment on any sales you generate if you are a part of the Zazzle Associates Program.

Install the app at the following link:

http://apps.facebook.com/merchstore

You can read more about the installation process on the Zazzle blog:

http://blog.zazzle.com/2007/11/15/create-a-merch-store-on-facebook/

Here are some tips on how to promote yourself on Facebook:

1. Share your products and store with friends in two-clicks from the “Make Money” tab in the application. When they add the application, your products will be displayed to their friends and they will have your merch store listed in their favorites! (Maximum of 20 invites to friends per day)

2. Create a “posted” item for your friends to see. From the “Your Store” tab in the application, click the “Share” button and type a fun comment like “Check out the Merch Store I made” or “I created these products! or “Here are some of my favorite artists” and click the “Post” button.

3. Encourage your friends to join Facebook and install the application. The more visibility for the products you’ve created, the better!

Please add any additional suggestions below. Facebook is a very viral environment but *you* need to take action to spread your products and the application to your friends.

-Josh Reeves

P.S. Zazzle now has a profile on Facebook. Show your support by becoming a fan and we’ll send you updates on new features.

Did you go to the set up part and type your store name in ... otherwise it won't know its you .. you can add anyone elses stores too just by typing their ids .. theres a part to the right before you put the stores in where you sign in with your zazzle id and password that way you can get the associate referral fee too Grin

and my question is ... if you're on facebook ... why didnt you add me yet huh huh huh Sad

I'm going to wait before I do this. I want to make sure I have enough inventory. I just started my store last night and I only have one ceramic mug for a product. It will take some time but I want to do it right! Smile One thing I did mess up on is when I opened a merch booth thru Myspace I thought it would feature the image that I placed on a mug and instead it only put the title of the art piece on a bunch of shirts. I have to go in and delete each shirt individually because I didn't want to have T-shirts available already. Ugh.

Love the facebook Merch Store!

I wish, though, that you could choose which products are promoted in your profile box. The "refresh profile" feature just gets you a random assortment of four products. So you can end up featuring some of your least favorite or least current(Father's Day in January? Um, no.) designs. And then once you've refreshed, you have to wait awhile before you can refresh again and get a new random assortment.

It would be nice if we could choose specific products to feature, or at least have the option of setting it to display only selections from our "featured products."

i totally have the app and use it some times. The server though for it is really iffy, every-time you enter the application it doesn't work you have to refresh every time.

I also joined the facebook group. There is a total of 98 people and more would be better Its """"Zazzle Global"""

The admins need to make sure people dont spam the photos section.

If any of you are interested, I have a good bit of Oddest Odd Rods merchandise for sale right now. Currently, I'm selling two original Oddest Odd Rods Donruss Bubble Gum Stickers display boxes and 62 of the original wax pack wrappers from Oddest Odd Rods. These wrappers are the orange color and (like the boxes) are from the original 5 cent Oddest Odd Rods wax packs. Again, if anyone is interested please contact me at kevinsbbcards@yahoo.com . I do have an eBay Store but these items are not listed at present. I have the ability to accept Paypal, personal checks, and money orders.
Thanks,
Kevin

I have set up my store and created 2 products. Neither of them show up on my Facebook page though. It just says store and a link to my gallery - no photos of the 2 products???? I am ssooooooo frustrated. I noticed that if I add the Human Society that their photos show up on my page no problem. How do I get this to work??????? Agggghhhhh....

Sadly I've done business with Kevin and his EBay store. I had a really bad experience and he never sent the merchandise but kept the money. Personally I wouldn't do business with him. Just my two cents. Otherwise zazzle rocks.

It is a great idea but I seem to be having teething problems as no matter how many times I try to 'refresh profile' it is stuck on only showing two of the first products I created - despite the fact that there are now 8 public products.

In theory a great idea though!

I think the application would be better if it allowed addition of an animated 'Zazzle panel' or similar. It would be much better than static images that may or may not be fixed at what we want to show, although I think those should remain as Facebook doesn't allow flash animation unless initiated by the viewer. A combination of the two would be more appealing, I think.

The problem of only showing two images was a result of not having enough items 'featured'. It is still stuck on the same items though.

Hi all -

I'm new to Zazzle (have had a store in CP for several years, now I want to see what Zazzle has to offer, as well), and have added the Merch app. to my professional Facebook page. I've been loading products into my store intermittently since last night; I currently have 5 stamps showing in my store, and a few more pending. They're dribbling slowly into my Merch store, but still none are showing up on my profile (same problem as SaraLynnBand - see above - had, it seems). Initially, when I installed the app it listed edunLive stuff as well until I took it out of my store, and THAT stuff showed up on my profile; why won't mine? Do I need more inventory? Does it take an inordinately long time for items to appear on my profile?

Also - last night I was looking around on Facebook. Have any of you had any experience with either the Zazzle Global group or the Zazzle fan page? How are they?

Thanks for any help any of you can offer to a newbie!Smile If you want to check out what I've got up in my store so far you can check it out at The Flying Pig Gallery Annex. I'm a freelance photographer, and am opening the Zazzle store as the Annex to my CP store The Flying Pig Gallery. Right now I've been working alot on my Coney Island stuff, and have been expanding that line in both stores. So far I've added postage to my store, and have some postcards that I'm going to load in tonight/tomarrow. Then I plan to design several other new items in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks again all!
