Hi All, I just started with Zazzle about a month ago. I've had lots of ideas and have been really busy creating shirts. Once I've got all of those created, I plan to branch the designs (text for now) out to the other products. I also need to learn how to use a design program to create products with designs rather than just text. I've read some of the forum posts but need to read more. If anyone has a chance to take a look at my store and give me their thoughts, I'd appreciate it! It's Fun Stuff And MoreI need to find out when to do my "grand opening promotion" (announcing on Facebook, etc.) Should I do it now (after transferring some of the text to other products? Or, wait until I get the rest of my ideas entered/created. I'm working fast and furiously, but my eyes don't appreciate all of the computer time;) Any other thoughts would be helpful too. I know I still have a lot to learn. Thanks, Sherry

Welcome Bernar! I think you're off to a great start and your store looks great! I'm very new myself, so don't have as much advice as the pros, but I would like to see maybe a little introductory text giving a brief description of your store or a little about yourself. A custom photo to replace the gray zazzle folder would also look better. Just keep designing and good luck!

I agree about the gray category folder. I'm going to paste some advice (w/ a few moderations) I've been giving to another newbie, lately. You can see the full thread (w/ more tips) here - http://forum.zazzle.com/new/hello_to_all_new_zazzler_hereYou really, really need to add some tag words and phrases so your products can be found during a search. Put words in quotes "like this" to make phrases. Use the colors that are in the design, the type of image, etc. If you have a pink flower, use "pink flower", "floral art", etc. in your tags. Be detailed with your descriptions by telling a bit about the design. Tell us so we can tell someone who can't see the image. Make categories for your products by the theme/design for easier viewing by customers. You can make a category featuring Capricorn, and then put sub-categories under it. i started zazzle a few days ago... I'm excited but at the same time, trying to handle my expectations. Still trying to build my store... I wonder if someone ever visits anyway.. But it's worth a try! It has become one of my creative outlets!

Hi all!
I am new here as well. After working on my store for a couple of weeks I went "public" with it on April 1. Okay maybe April Fools Day wasn't such a good idea because a lot of people thought I was kidding! I just wrote an email to my contacts and cut and pasted that and a thumbnail into my facebook. I actually got over a hundred hits in the first twelve hours but I honestly think that most of them were from me checking my page every few minutes!
I would be happy to look at your pages. I just don't have a lot to offer in advice because I have no idea what I'm doing.
Please feel free to visit me and let me know what you think. I don't know about you but I think I'm really gonna like it here.

I'm glad I found this. I am just learning about everything and working on my store. Honestly I am embarrased about what I have right now and wishing I had a graphic program or more experience in making designs for items. Anyway I'm glad to be hear and hope to learn alot!
