I'm new to Zazzle and found your list very helpful. I'm very careful about not listing images under copyright, yet I find a similar seller listing images under copyright like crazy. I pointed it out to him, via comments. Is there any way to prevent it by reporting it to Zazzle? I feel he depreciates the genre by using in copyright images.

Antique--If you believe a product is in violation of copyright, you just have to click the "Report Violation" link on the product page. (It's down by the share links) Let Zazzle know why you believe it is a violation, and if possible, reference the copyright holder. I've found it's far more effective, however, to contact the copyright holder directly if I can and let them know about the infringement. Zazzle seems to take it much more seriously if the person who owns the rights is the one filing the report.

Excellent advice for new Zazzlers like me!
I give myself a 4 out of 10 so plenty of work to do but it's great when you start to make sales. I was so pleased when my designs started to sell in USA Canada, UK and now Australia!
Thanks for your advice.

This is wonderful information. I've been a member for awhile but haven't been active. I'm ready to focus, now, and even though I have a lot to learn I'm eager to do so. This seems like such a friendly forum...I'm looking forward to meeting lots of people. Thank you.

Thanks for these tips.

Though I found out I can't even have a photo image of a common soda - I was not allowed to list a digital image of some antique soda bottles in a crate. It was vintage/antique/collectibles.

Phooey! It was a great photo as far as I was concerned. I added a filter to it, so was very 'artistic'. *sigh*

Live and learn.

If the brands are identifiable, then yeah, you can't post anything that is still protected under trademark. It's a pain in the toosh, but what can we do? You also can't use the names of the soda in titles, keywords, or descriptions, because that would be seen as trying to profit off of the brand. e_e

Really useful!
This advice REALLY helped!
You have such nice wording, aswell, and you make things that some people would not find very polite, sound polite.
Thank you for putting in the time to do this, it is very helpful.

Thanks very much for your kind words! I think I have my dad to thank for the ability to phrase things the way I do... He's a teacher, and has been my entire life, so he kind of instilled the value of eloquence in me from an early age. Laughing

Thanks Customizables, for the helpful tips and advice. I am new to Zazzle, just set up my store this month.

I like drawing caricatures, have been trying find out whether I can use them on Zazzle until I read your point #3. So sad, seems like caricatures can't be used at most of the places.

Making my products sell seems a difficult task right now because I haven't learned the art of self-promotion. But it makes me happy to see my works appear on mugs, postage, t-shirt, etc. I will keep your #8 in mind. Hope to learn more from veteran Zazzlers, like yourself

As a newbie to Zazzle, I really appreciate your comments, especially from a buyer's point of view. I'm not sure I totally understand all of the concepts, but I'm sure that looking around at other peoples' shops will explain some of them. Thank you!
