Thanks so much for the great tips! I've been signed up for quite some time but only recently made some products. I'm still struggling with how to get them in the order I want in the store though. Everything else was so easy to do. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time figuring it out. Oh well.......... - Bobbi http://www.zazzle.com/enchantingimages

Thanks for posting this clear, concise, and very helpful advice! I am happy to find that I'm already doing most of it (and have made 71 sales since starting here in December) but that there are still things I can improve on! It's also good to be encouraged to put in the time. Sometimes I wonder if I'm wasting my time, but you confirmed what my gut was telling me......i.e. it WILL pay off in the long run! I'm loving Zazzle!!!

Good post, but #6 will continue to simply frustrate me until Zazzle improves their search function. I'm tired of trying to search for items only to have to wade through the same design on every kind of product. The way I see it, if I didn't like the design on a shirt, I won't like it on an apron.
If I *do* want it on an apron, and it's not available on an apron, my first reaction is to send a message to the owner, not to leave frustrated.
I'd much rather see Zazzle clean up both their search and their customize tools. Let me check a box that allows people to select other kinds of items when they customize...I put something on a shirt, let me select if I want to allow people to put it on an apron, print, etc. Then I don't have to fill both my gallery and search pages with the same design over and over again.

That way your sense of enjoyment of Zazzle doesn't come from how much you sell, but whether you're happy with a cool design, regardless of whether it sells. Most of the products I've deleted from my gallery over the years have been the ones I've made because "Oh, people will like this!" Even if they did, I didn't like them. Of course, your mileage may vary. I'm not here primarily as a way to gain income. Good luck.

Thanks for the advise. Very useful. I'm going to print it out and hang it next to the PC so I can see it everyday.

This is really excellent advice - thanks for taking the time. I had the same problem as Bobbi of Enchantingimages. I had made all these products but couldn't find a way to organise them. However, I cracked it the other day and now have a shop with shelves etc. rather than everything thrown in at the door (metaphorically speaking!!). For any new Zazzlers that haven't worked it out, here is the process.
Go into My Zazzle. Manage My Store Manage Products Add new product line Select products you wish to show under that new product line Edit selected Seller product line - change You will then see a list of all your product lines and you can choose where to put your item.
I have spent hours moving all my products but it's worth it. I am really loving the Zazzle experience. It is time consuming work but what fun. I have been fortunate enough to have sold some products which is a great feeling. I am very impressed with all the support here from other Zazzlers and the encouragement given. I'm so enjoying the process that making money feels like a bonus. Good luck to all.

Thank you for the tips! Great read. I have only been on Zazzle a couple months and while I have actually sold a couple things, I am looking to find ways to promote and make the store as good as it can be. Any tips and ideas are welcome! Cheers!

Awesome list! I don't know why I have no problem spending hours upon hours on creating a design, but am too lazy to slap it on more than one product. I'm really going to fix that though, thanks to your advice.

I'm really going to fix that though, thanks to your advice. I use quick create to help keep me on track. It doesn't save me any time because I'm still very ocd about how my products look and I have to go through and adjust each product individually, but it does keep me on track until I finish a batch of items.
