What is the best way to use the tags option. I need more info on what these actually do? Also I am wondering if sellers usually choose the auto option and all products options for their art or is it best to be selective?

Are you talking about Quick create? I don't use it as I always have to mess around with images for the best fit.
Tags are what are going to get your products found, so they're really important. They should describe your design, so for example, if you have a black cat sitting on a green boat in a blue lake, your tags would be black cat boat lake green blue water etc etc. though you don't need to use the same words that are in your description.

Since tags and descriptions are supposed to relate to the design, Quick Create is useful if you're putting the same design on several products at once, because it saves having to tag each product separately one at a time.
It's not the easy, automatic option that some people think though - as ruralfrance says, each product still has to be checked individually to make sure the design fits properly on it.
