So far, have 50+ items in my store and need to know how to organize them into categories – I want at least two. Have searched the Zazzle site and your forums, looked a lots of different stores, found information & suggestions, but am confused and can’t get anything to work! I want to get organized before I add more items. QUESTIONS: 1) Is a different category the same as a different store? 2) Can I do this without dealing with advanced code? 3) Is there a definitive book about Zazzle? 4) How do I add an introductory line like: ‘Welcome to my Store’ ?
I’m so inspired to design and get going with a ton of different things, but need to create some order first. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. zazzle.com/gwengordonart

Hello Gwen,
To add categories, look for 'All Categories' in the sidebar on your products page, click it. In the page that opens click 'Add new category' for each category you wish to create. Once your first category is created you can create sub-categories within it if you like, you would do this from that category's page. So a different category isn't a different store, and you don't need the advanced code to do it. "Is there a definitive book about Zazzle?"... There is at least one that I know about which (I think) was written by Softproduct (another Zazzler), but I don't know where you can get it. Shopaholicchick and MindDesign Graphics have put together lots of information in blogs and/or Squidoos and I'll look for the links to them and report back if someone else doesn't. You can add an introductory line in the description box; click on the 'Store' tab, and then click on 'Settings'.
hope this helps,
Steve.

Hi Steve, Thanks for you quick reply. I'll try your suggestions and Google for Softproduct, Shopaholicchick and MindDesign Graphics. What are Squidoos?
Thanks, Gwen

Here are Shopa's tutorials (on her blog); http://www.***url_under_review***/zazzletutor/index.html EDIT: Apologies for the 'censored' link, just Google 'shopaholicchick' and click on 'Zazzle Tutors' when you find the site, or just replace ***url_under_review*** with shopaholicchick in the link above. And here's the MindDesignGrafx page with a lot of info and links, this one is a Squidoo, so hopefully it will also answer your question on Squidoos; http://www.squidoo.com/howtozazzleSteve.

Hi Steve, with your help, made 2 new catagories, 'Flowers+' and 'Gwenit*' Put 3 older products in Flowers+ then eliminated them from their old spots. Now they showed up this morning on top of everything in 'View All Products'. Also they show up in 'Flowers+' along with the description as I expected, but, it's more confusing that ever! Any advice will be most appreciated. Gwen

Hi Gwen, Everything will always show in 'All Products', and if the sort is set to 'Newest', then your new products will show first, and you don't have to re-make them to put them in a different category, you can move products to whichever category you like (it seems you actually re-made the three products you mention). You can choose which category will appear on your home page, including 'Featured Products' which allows you to put a selection of images from different categories on the home page.
hope this helps,
Steve.
