I noticed that each time I check Google analytics which my store is synced with, there are no visitors coming in through search queries using the search engines. My site has been up for almost 2 years, and no search queries... does anyone else have this same situation? I just checked my Google Cache date for the store, and see the last time the Google bot crawled it, was March 28, almost 2 months ago! Any recommendations on how I can get some search traffic....any search traffic...? thanks so much for your input.

Do your products pages change a lot? That may help, but I don't think google really indexes store pages very much - all my traffic comes from the forum, or my blogs and Squidoo lenses (or other promoters, which you won't see in your stats as a customer will go direct to the product). That's why promotion is so essential.

Making more of your tags and descriptions would help too - you seem to be limiting yourself to more general stock market terms. Describe the design in detail and the colours. Add a product to your blog or website occasionally, or start a new one.

So is there no way to track Google Analytics stats on product pages?

If someone visits a product page in your store then GA will show that, the point RuralFrance is making is that most of our product views are in the marketplace which GA doesn't show in our stats.

Thanks SteveGrin What I should have said was, "all the traffic in my stats comes from...". Traffic through the marketplace will show up in your product views per day. I use Statcounter, but it's the same results.

Thanks to everyone that posted a reply, this is helpful. I wasn't sure if it was something I was doing wrong, by not being indexed much in Google. I appreciate the sharing of how to get more traffic, I will definitely work harder in this area, and not feel like Google will do it for me! Thanks guy, I appreciate it!
