Hi all, as you can see by my title, I'm a newbie to zazzle and I'm in desperate need of help! My first question is: I'm looking to make a once off card for my friend for his birthday...is this do-able? or do I have become a "full" zazzler and sell items on here? I'm a little confused as I see a lot of people saying they make money from their creations, but I'm just looking to make the one card with images from google (is that allowed or even possible?) Also I live in Ireland,I was looking at the countries that zazzle sends to, but could not decipher if they do or don't send to Ireland, can anyone help a very confused gal? Many thanks to any and all that helps!

They ship internationally.
You do not have to be a seller on here to make something for yourself. Lots of people do that. You just can't violate any copyright or trademark laws, or violate the intellectual property of anyone. Those rules are for everyone.
You can not use images from Google. Someone owns the copyright to those images, so it would be illegal for you to take them and use them. You need to use your own photos or images that you have created.

Many thanks stationeryshop for your quick reply! So for the google images, if I was to contact the people who owns the copyrights to the images, would I be allowed to use them then? If so how would I be able to show zazzle that I have indeed gotten the persons permission to use said photographs?

You would need to buy a commercial license from the copyright owner to use it, and you would need to follow their terms and conditions for doing so.

I am also a newbie to zazzle too. I started a few weeks ago. I really want to people to see my store. However I don't have a website of my own and I just recently joined facebook. I am still adding more product and as soon as my scanner/printer is fixed I can do much more. Please give me some advice on what to do.

National Geographic have a store here ( with a few thousand greeting cards) and that's worth a look. Z will send to most places in the world including Ireland (check whether standard shipping applies if you order from the US or the UK portal to avoid excessive cost of express shipping on a card)

Please give me some advice on what to do. With only 4 products in your store the best advice is create, create, create. Then promote - create a blog, submit products to others' blogs to promote for you (see the promoting forums elsewhere here ).

I suggest that you change the text and/or background color in the area for "Departments", "Design Options", etc. Such colors can be hard on the eyes and it's tough to see the text. Tag words are very important. I see that you could use a bit of work on those. Tags are picked up by search engines, so if you don't have the proper tags, no one will find your items. Example (Your Cutie Pies shirt) - girls, pies, cute, apple, pie, pumpkin, blueberry, cherry. You have some that work, but since there are four women on the shirt, tell everyone. Use something like - four women, a group of women, dessert themes, sweet treats, fruit pie, apple pie (if that's the kind of pie on the shirt) blonde woman, african-american woman, black woman, caucasian woman (or women), dark-haired girl, brown skin, etc. If someone wants a shirt with a black girl and and a theme of sweets, your shirt has a better chance of showing up with more tags that offer more to go on. You make phrases by putting multiple words in quotes "like this" or connect with a plus sign like+this. When you have specific questions, you can always search the forums or post your own topic, but you may find what you need by using the search function on the forum. Be sure to be specific with your question/title when you post a new one of your own. If you start to notice that your products seem to be missing, they're just being grouped by way of a new system Zazzle set up. You can see your products with the same designs in the same area when you click on the little links below the image on your homepage. Lots of posts about "Grouping" if you want to read up on it. Zazzle News is a good place to start. If you haven't read them, take a look at the posts with the blue envelopes in New to Zazzle. Also helpful... I have tee designs specifically for dark apparel. How do I delete the color tees that don't work. If I create a dark tee all 51 styles are available but the design doesn't appear on white/light tees.

Edit the dark tees and in 'Product Merchandising' there is a drop-down menu where you can select 'Dark Only'. You can also do this when you're creating your products. Steve.
